I recently found a transcription of "Tina Sizwe" that I recalled I had copied from a Pete Seeger book way back in the early '80s. I can't recall the name of the songbook and I've unsuccessfully looked through quite a few databases for any song book of his that may have had the song included in it.
Does anyone have a copy of the Pete Seeger songbook in which the song was included or the English translation of this song?

The song and an English translation appear in Pete's "The Incompleat Folksinger" - 1972. Do you need the translation?

Yes! I just need the English translation to the Zulu text. If you can provide both, I'd deeply appreciate it.

There are three verses with the third being a repeat of verse one, and a two line chorus after each.

We the brown nation,
We cry for our country
That was taken by the white people.

I'm glad you transcribed the original. Try as I might I can't make sense of the order of the hyphenated Zulu words running beneath and between the musical notation. I read neither Zulu nor music.

And maybe Pete's is what they call a loose translation.

You've been very kind and generous with your help. I'd thought you'd like to know that I've set Pete's transcription to midi, with the Zulu lyrics beneath the highlighted notes as the music plays, and I needed this English translation to round out a demo of how multimedia could be used in home-schooling curricula for multi-cultural learning.
