Hey Duncan, sounds like it could have been The Rainbow you were in,a local named Tony D plays there often,he,s cool stuff!!
The market is the oldest part of town here, some of the gals practising the oldest proffession work their trade down there.I have a friend who worked for the beavertails folk the company is named after the owners.
They are the Hookers, the family name, not their trade or trade name...LOL
I ran into my buddy down in that area one day after not seeing him for some time,so I asked what he was up to these days..."I sell tail for hookers in the market" was his reply,,,hahahahaha...
Were you here for the busker festival? if not you have to come by for it.
It is growing and becoming bigger and better every year.

I hope minis never go outta style. I like em either above the knees or the real long & funky length but not the knee length or midcalf. Makes me look like an old grandma lol. I used to wear themr eally short in the 60's & &0's. Had a mini dress that was so short it was practically a top. My mom would tell me you're not going out of the house in that short thing. If you want to wear it you gotta wear pants under it. So I'd wear pants under it & when out of sight from her take em off lol.

Barry Manilow is okay. I had a jr high & HS teacher who looked just like him. I think Barry came out when I was in high school & every one said wow, that guy looks like Mr Tuck. God I hope he doesn't have Mr Tucks temper lol...

T'was Tulip Festival Time in the capital city. Protesters and prostitutes hung around Parliment Hill...and that blues bar was and upstairs establishment. And older man with a fedora had an attache case full of harmonicas, but for some reason he never got up and played. Maybe he was a harmonica salesman...who knows? The word "Rainbow" does ring a bell though. I sang an old King Biscuit Boy tune called "You Done Tore Your Playhouse Down Again" and a few others.

Cheryl, I hope minis never go out of style either. Anything below the knee's not worth wearing.

Oh yes indeedo Cheryl I am on your side 100% about minidresses and miniskirts. I hope they stay in style forever they sure a pleasureable view to men at from the woman's caboose in windshield wiper gear attached to two jiggle swivel sticks with some baggage in the upper thigh area. I call it a private walking Disneyland for Men
I only time I wear minis is when I go out to concerts (who else Arlo's) and go out partying with female friends.
I once read two books entitled: "How To Bend Over In a Short Dress" by Seymour Highney and "See More Butts" by Eileen Dover.
Those books sure steamed my rump roast :)

There was an Emergency! epiode where Johnny and Roy went to a woman's house, she was hyperventilating because her girdle was too tight! LOL!!! The girdle had to be cut off of the woman's body and when it did the girdle flew off in a sling shot motion and clocked Johnny in the face

I think I remember that one lol. They had some good eps. We'd like to see Emergency again. Which reminds me I still have some dvd's to watch of it. I know I have season one but not sure if I have season 2. The Star Trek marathon was a good one...

You start feeling old when you have dinner with your friend who you used to jump in the car and drive to Canada with on a Friday night, (from NY) and you are both in amazement - when your son/gdson is tells you he is going out after work tonight. (Adding to the injury you're having the Early Bird Special).
