does anyone know mayby arlo will answer?.....how's ramblin jack and does arlo still keep in touch with him.....i would love to see them onstage togehter!!

He's doing fine and still performing. I got to spend some time with Jack in Memphis and New Orleans during the CONO tour.

I just think THAT IS GREAT!!! :D I'll bet you have some wonderful memories (and pictures)!! From all that I have seen, it looked like everyone had a good time. Is that the first time that you've been in New Orleans?? I've never been there. It must have been hard to see all of the devastation left by Katrina. :cry:

Ramblin' Jack will appear on A Prairie Home Companion this weekend June 24 broadcast (and eventually the archive on their website).

Ramblin Jack is on a Mountain Stage show Saturday July 22 in Bristol, VA. Mountain Stage Live Performance Page So there is a radio show to look forward to!

I was sooooooo lucky enough to get to Ramblin' Jack Elliot by slim chance way back when I was like 17 or 18 in Austin, Texas. We were out, you know, just cruising looking for something to do and we happened to stop at a random place, before 6th street was what it is today, and we heard the music and went in and there he was, Live and in person. It was one of the best memories that I will have. He was sooo nice and polite and his music is great too. I hope that Ramblin' Jack is doing well and I wish him the best. :D

I caught Ramblin' Jack in Coventry England a few weeks ago. It's a fair hike, and there were supposed to be three or four of us going, the others dropped out one by one and I ended up going on my own. It was a wonderful night, some great songs and great stories. I was lucky enough to get a chat with him after the show, and 'borrowed' a gig poster which he duly signed for me. I guess I'll have to take it back someday......... :lol:
