We're considering spending a long weekend with Arlo and friends at The Spring Revival. The problem is... I can't find any information about events, tickets etc. The Guthrie Center website has no info at all.

Could somebody please let me know what to expect for the weekend... Where I can purchase tickets... How much.. Lodging/camping... And what ever other info you might have?

website.... you'll get a card giving you a reduced rate and first go at concert tix...if you move fast maybe you can still get it on this...you might try calling the Center as George, wonderful man, is there most days getting things ready ... 413-528-1955 or 1958
so that's the concert tix... if there are some left after the members get first chance to dial endlessly on the specified day until, aha...George answers and nobody really minds that system.... then the tickets go public at a higher price...i'm gonna guess $60 or more ... seeing Arlo and friends at the Church is a very special because it is small (100 or less) and intimate and there's alot of regulars so the concert energy is great...

other than that the Spring weekend includes the HD walk....which is easier than it sounds and alot of fun... that info is on the Church website...

folks here may respond to you on places to stay .... there are a couple of campgrounds (look in the area of Housatonic, Great Barrington) and motels which aren't too high since it's not quite tourist season... you can find some on the internet as well...

If you're a member of The Guthrie Center, you'll receive a postcard in the mail telling you when the tickets go on sale. Join now, if you're not a member..I believe you can do that over the phone with a credit card by calling 413-528-1955. Membership is $25 a year. After the Guthrie Center members have first chance at the tickets, they'll go onsale to the public. Last October I think the tickets were $55, and that is subject, as always, to change. It IS a fundraiser for the GC!
I found a motel for $70 a night...some may be cheaper, and I'm positive a lot are more expensive. It gets cheaper if you're sharing with a friend and you split the cost. I haven't researched campgrounds lately, but I'm sure you can do that online.
You can expect some wonderful music, great people, warm fuzzy vibes, and good coffee in a unique and charming church. The HD walk on Sunday is a lot of fun! You can expect a lot of generous, gracious people, sometimes rain, balloons, beautiful Berkshire hills, a pretty stream, Dump Divas, popcorn, ice cream, maybe shrimp cocktail, water and other goodies along the walk trail. Oh, and the former Alice's Restaurant at the end!

hey, who is showing up for the revivals? i thought it would be neat to get group photos of people from the forums. i'll be there all 3 days, just look for the black and blue '72 bug named booboo and you found freaky. can't wait to see you all again. it's like a family reunion for me.

Do we buy 1 ticket for the entire weekend... Or do we need a ticket for each day?

Hey Freaky, Sue, and KJ!
I will be attending the shows and HD Walk this year, this will be my second time doing the HD Walk and my third time seeing Arlo at the revival shows. I will be attending the Friday and Sunday night shows as for Saturday I got other obligations so I will not there that night. I am really looking forward to seeing you all again! I am getting excited counting down the months, days, minutes, and seconds till what I call my weekend getaway a celebration of no work for 3 months(mid May-mid August) YIPPEE! I enjoy going to the church shows very much because of the cozy atmosphere, feeling relaxed, and I feel like I am part of a family with comfort, love, and warmth.

Oh yes please, and then post the picture. I'd like to see faces to the names on here. And a picture of the '72 bug too. My first car was a dark green bug, build propably around '70. I loved that car. Even I was able to almost fix everything, repaired a busted fan belt with a stocking on the autobahn somewhere between Berlin and Frankfurt, drove with a busted clutch cable which made shifting an experience, in wintertime the windows froze from the inside cause the heat won't work so you constantly had to scrape the ice with one hand while driving with the other, in summertime you had to drive almost naked cause the heating system won't shut off; but I loved that car.
I wish you all a lot of fun at the church, and like Wyldflower said will be there with you in spirit.

Sigh, probably won't be able to come in May... I'll be learning good stuff then! Maybe in the fall.

Someday I may get to go to the Church again... first and last time was in 99... be nice to see some old and new faces. Probably won't be this May....
