TV land is stuck in a time warp!! Did you ever think about how many of the actors/actresses on there are on the wrong side of the dirt?

Yep. I watch Tvland every day. Been watching alot of re-runs of Andy Griffith, Sanford & Son, Good Times, Jeffersons,Archie Bunker etc. The only re-runs I like are of old shows from the 50's/6o's & 70's. Don't care for the current stuff. I probably should've bought a lottery ticket on 7/7/7 ;ol...

I like the old ones too, Cheryl. Right now they are showing Starsky and Hutch again on German TV, one of my favourites. Since it's shows to early in the afternoon I record it every day. Good stuff. But some of the new ones are good too (at least of the ones we get to see over here).

Hmmm..there's the Sci-Fi channel, Discovery, History Channel, A&E, TCM, AMC and some more eclectic choices. Robot Chicken, anyone?

Too many cable and satelite TV choices to count and the programing is still missing out on real entertainment. Now when I finally finish rewiring some connections on my sailboat and the breezes are favorable.....

Well right now I can't beat some of the programing on a college radio station I listen to while working on ancillary projects & they just played an 18 minute and some odd second song in honor of some Folk Singer's birthday. Too cool.

I am in the same ball park as you, Cheryl. I don't care for the new comedy shows I watch TV Land every day too. I think TV Land should do much better on their schedule and programs. The weekend marathons of TV Land goes west and Andy Griffith are getting tiresome. I wish Emergency! was back on TV Land that is what got me addicted to the channel in the first place.

I've been listening to WFUV today too... and strange as it seems, the traffic reports were making me feel homesick!

Fordham University's Voice I pretty much enjoy their programing and Celtic music on the weekends.

I'm listening on a component sterio system I purchased back in the late 70's and early 80's. Since I'm not quite in an optimum location for radio reception its got a little static but otherwise I'm comfortable with the sound quality.

It still has rich tones and I can even dub to cassette if I ever have the need to.

Andy Griffith but they're showing way too much non tv show junk like movies & some of them aren't that old either.

That is so cool that Starsky & Hutch are on German tv. I have all 4 seasons on dvd. I run a YAHOO group on Starsky & Hutch if anyone is interested in joining, just let me know & I can approve you. I approve all members first to make sure we get no spam in there. And that seems to work. I watched Starsky & Hutch in the 70's and enjoyed it but wasn't in love with them. Mike got the season one boxset & I fell in love. At least it keeps me busy when I'm not going to see Arlo lol...

I don't like the Friday night movies on TVLand. The movie Parenthood which is not that old released in 1989 was shown 50 times in one week, very annoying. They should air movies that are from the 50s, 60s, and 70s for example Clockwork Orange, Shampoo, Heaven Can Wait, Grease just to name a few that we all grew up on now those are pop culture classics.

I agree. And they could show Alices too. Just an idea...

In the middle of the night last weekend, Alice was on. Thought it appropriate considering it was the Summer Church Revival weekend up in the Berkshires.
