JohnC has left today NY (Saturday) on his way to Okemah (by way of Texas). He had to work 3-11 last night, but then got caught on a double - because a bunch of "co-workers" happened to get sick on the holiday. He then got stuck for an extra hour because the train that brings the morning releif workers from Phili had a problem. By the time he got home this morning, he had been up 26 hours and worked around 18.

Luckily he had prepared (not to be confused with packed) some of his stuff, and I was able to get him on his way to the city (in a downpour) at 2pm for a 4 something train. I heard from him and he was already in Albany headed for Chicago.

Hope you all have a great time. Please drink LOTS of water, and take care of yourselves & eachother. I will be thinking of you and missing you (at my air conditioned desk) :wink:

The Blunderite has landed (by train, of course); the convergence has begun. We 'forced' John to eat Mexican food for lunch ... it's HOT outside and between that and lunch, I think he knows he's in Texas.

A good Irishperson like myself doesnt cry in our beer - terrible waste of beer. LOL

Somebody has to hold down the fort - and the dogs. Im spending my time well, planning the next time we CAN all be together - plus the Cinco De Mayo gang has to converge in the spring!!! (and maybe a quicky trip to the Jersey shore this weekend - now that the 4th of Juliers are out of the way!)

Like always I miss the people, but I dont believe I would do well with the weather. (or the torantillas). Wouldnt be polite to never leave Ceashell's pool. LOL

I'll still feel for you Louise - we gotta figure out how to get you to the church at some point.
