I found something on the internet saying Farm Aid may be broadcast online:

http://www.cmt.com/news/news-in-brief/1 ... cert.jhtml

Farmaids site is here:

http://www.farmaid.org/site/c.qlI5IhNVJ ... merica.htm

I have no idea how to bring up the webscast from the site tho. I had to start a new topic on this as I couldn't find the search thingy on the boards to look up old Farm Aid topics. Hope this info helps out folks who don't have DirecTv...

Thank you for posting that Cheryl.

I saw the commercial for it the other day and was a wee bit annoyed that they didn't mention Arlo's name :? They had time to flash a clip of him playing...they could have added his name.

Arlo mentioned at the front door that if you are about to sign-up for Direct TV, to mention his name and save you both some cash. I wanted to add to make sure you ask about the promotion and make sure you are in the right place before you give them any info.

I hear tell that you have to call a special line or number to get that offer. I believe it's called refer-a-friend or something like that. Just be sure to ask about it as soon as you call, so's they can "Direct" you to the right place

That said....

Direct TV rocks!!
Looking forward to seeing The A-Man in action! :D

this is one of those weird weird arlo stories... no doubt you've had 'em as most folks here have...

busy warping my loom this afternoon i forgot to turn the webcast on at 4... just before 5 i was still weaving and it popped into my head.... turned the webcast on... and they were announcing Arlo... doin City of New Orleans... at 5pm....
he did great, as did Abe and Krishna... wish they gave them more time... thought the schedule did say 3 for 20 minutes!!!!!....not enough!!.....

anyway, turned New England Cable News on at 6pm... just as they were reporting on Farm Aid (it's local here)....and showed a short clip of Arlo singin Alabama Bound.... awesome... here's the link...

http://www.necn.com/Boston/Business/Far ... 47214.html

they put Steve Earle on, too, at an unannounced time..so the folkslinger might pop in for more... let's hope so...

Arlo only gets 20 minutes?

I just got home from a seminar and tuned in to the webcast... seems they're showing everyone out of order. It's 4:35 MDT and 6:35 EDT... did I miss ADG on the webcast? They're certainly not following the lineup posted.

Thanks for the screen shots & video links. I didn't get to my folks till after CONO was off but my Mom saw it. Mike had to take too long bathing before we left & we had to eat out on the way up. I did see him do Changing My Name To Chrysler. That was so cool to see something new by him... :)

Twice was all I saw.

I watched all of it except when I ran out to KFC..heh...but made sure Hubby had an eye on it. First thing I asked when I got back in the door was if I missed him, I hadn't.

I was pretty bummed about it :|

Not sure how it was decided who got how many songs...seemed like Jerry Lee went on forever.

Was happy to see him at any rate, but more numbers would have been great!
