I just got back from the symphony show in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center. It was a wonderful and inspiring evening, and worth going to just for Arlo's newly updated version of this song. I'm not gonna spill the beans, because it's great to hear HIM sing it...and I know a lot of you will see him at concerts soon.

I'd love to hear more about DC since we didn't get to go. Whine, Whine lol. So sad we didn't get to go. I hope someone took some pics & can put them on here. I am dying to know all the details, set list, what he wore, who was with him and more...

Nope - no file emporium here, as videos and mp3's eat up serious bandwidth... and we seem to go over the alloted bandwidth every November for some reason?

Arlo had the crowd going at Farm Aid.....for sure. "I'm changing my name to Freddie Mac" reverberated around the venue and stayed in my head for days. So timely, so true, so Arlo!

The Boston Globe said the concert was fantastic and the only thing they thought was bad about it was the too short of a set for Arlo and fellow New Englander Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

Bottom line is it was a great day for music and for Farm Aid!

I sure wish I could have been there.....I watched the video of him playing Fannie/Freddy though---it was great!!! I especially liked what he said during the intro to the song about music being handed down through the generations, just like farms, representing 4 generations of Guthries on the stage (I'm sure Woody was there somewhere!!!).

Yes, kj. Go to farm aid.org website and click on 'concert'. That will take you to a menu of videos. Then click on the one labled 'pre-concert performances'. Arlo will be the 5th or 6th act---you've got to put up with about 15 or 20 minutes of other folks (some not too bad) until Arlo, Abe and Krishna come on and do the Fannie Mae song. Enjoy!!!!!
