i hadn't heard this song and now that i have...it is a pretty song! (i am just goofy i guess)

i love the look of the cello too, a nice patina...worn and a bit grooved. kind of makes me think to my days with my best friend from school and her family...they sure had fragrant and lively discussions in that house!

I think it maybe a bass. Usually cellos are played with a bow and basses are played fingered. If I'm wrong I know someone will correct me.
