Walk down your local street some time and say hi to the owners.... Good luck.

I say hi to an owner every time I look in the mirror... There are plenty of local businesses out there with owners right at the counter. Get out of your tent sometime and go look.

You sure it ain't the bank who owns them? Its a fact that in Massatack, basically, Multi-nationals are putting small shops out of business, while taking the cash out of towns at midnight, that use to help fund the towns. There was a Hardware Store Owner, who had the business in his Family for over a 100 years, (Who in better times had helped start other peoples businesses.) now its the Pool Room he opened that makes him money. The Hardware Store (couldn't compete with Home Depot.) just keeps people working. Not sure what is wrong with that picture? But if its capitalism that is so great, with its owned MSM and Govt...just keep on with this insanity, and more insanity shall come.

Have known for decades that multi-nationals have been putting the screws to to the Farmers.

Yup, that is what every corporation does.. They wait until sundown, then when everyone is sleeping, they steal their money. You story sounds similar to those in the 19th century when racists would make up stories about blacks creeping into homes to rape white women.

Tell me, did the employees at this hardware store make minimum wage? I bet they did. Did they have health insurance? I bet they didn't. There is a small family owned hardware store in my little town. Everyone there makes just a little more than minimum wage. If they get hurt or sick, they have no insurance. I have a friend who works at Lowes, he has:

    Health insurance
    Life Insurance
    Retirement
    Paid holidays

https://careers.lowes.com/benefits_comprehensive.aspx

Even PT workers can get some of those benefits. I guarantee your small hardware shop, or pool hall is not providing that.

Now tell me, who is evil again?

That Hardware Store has been in that Families Business for over a 100 years. Maybe I did not go into details of how many other small businesses they had helped get started. That Family is as a legit one you will ever find any where. Ya, he opened The First Class Pool Room, before Home Depot hit his hardware store. Its not Union, but someday... In hope you thank the Unions for the weekends or any benefits you may have. People died fighting to get us those benefits.

Have about come to the conclusion that you are not worth this debate. You be a lucky self owner who loves the Tea Party for the lower taxes and profits for you. You have absolutely no clue about serving mankind. You would serve us as food.

So the answer is no, he just used his workers, gave them no health care, nothing.. And this is what you are putting forward?

I don't thank them, not at all, because they are not responsible for anything I have.

You have no clue at all. I would bet my last dollar I have done more good for people on this earth by starting a business and earning money than you have by not showering for days, being a nuisance in some park. You know, when a friend of mine needed a car to get work, where were you or your kind? Nowhere. He is a hard working guy just down on his luck, but no OWS type helped him out. It was me who GAVE him a car. If I was YOU, I would have asked someone else to give him a car instead of stepping up. I would have blamed everyone else in the world for him and done absolutely nothing but run to Belgium and bitch about it overseas.

Don't pretend you even know WTF I do. I have been "awakened" a lot longer than you.

Oh have seen your stone throwing from the start of this whole thread. Sure have thrown in some judgments of mine in into it all too. But you do not know the labor movement if you do not thank Unions for weekends or benefits.

Just a guess of mine is you are Tea Party People. I was glad to see them TP people get stirred up. Things have been so out of control, felt good some one was speaking up. But only thing I'll give them any credit for, is that Govt Can no longer spend what it does not take in.

How much does 2 un-funded wars and the Bush tax cuts have to do with City and State's problems? Give me a break, if you don't think they tie together.

And what I can say from this thread with you, is you think its all fine what got US in this mess. Which is Capitalism run amuck for profit, to Iraq, Libya, and if we don't speak up, IRAN. If you fools go to war with Iran, you will all belong in hell!

Like what? Hey buddy, have you ever ORGANIZED a union before? I don't mean, just show up and get your card, I mean actually organize one? Well I have. I know something about unions.

Oh really, how is it they tie together? The reason we are having problems is out of control greedy socialism.

BTW, songs are not facts.

Have fun over there in Europe, where you keep your nose pointed high up in the air because only by craning your neck to look upwards, will you ever see the United States. The cesspool of Europe has no place to talk about the US and wars. Europeans have been drinking each others blood for thousands of years, in fact, if it wasn't for us putting our foot down over there, you would probably still be gnawing at each others broken bones.

So please, stay out of the way while we subsidize your socialist Utopia by protecting your savage asses from each other.

Guess you haven't read any Howard Zinn or John Perkins to see how great Corporate Empire has been at ripping off poorer countries for profit.

America's the only industrialized Nation that has for profit Healthcare. No wonder its ranked 37th.

Unions have made some mistakes, but you can thank them for your weekends and any benefits you may have. I've got no real problem with their leaders earning the 4-5 times what the rank and file do. That would be a good bench mark for CEOs, instead of the 300 times more than the workers earn.

It was interesting while reading a bio on OEN today, about this Doctor who now lives in Europe for its closer to reality than the States are.

Oh, America didn't break every Treaty it ever signed with the Sioux did it? The Sioux broke not 1.

I got in The IBEW when they were organizing a shop. At the meeting the owner held to fight it, he spewed more bullshit in 1 hour than I have ever heard in my life. We lost by 1 vote, but IBEW kept its pledge and took in all who voted for it. Next year they got the shop. Trade Schools did a number on the IBEW in Massataack, for non-union had highly trained kids right out of High School. My teacher Murphy, was the teacher of the IBEW Apprentice program.

You showed up to a meeting and voted.. Wow.. I actually ORGANIZED one, successfully.. I sat at the table with management.. So I guess YOUR answer is no.

BTW, how come people with money are not flocking everywhere else for health care? Because they can afford the best health care there is, only in America. Even the Canadian PM had his heart surgery HERE in the US instead of the wonderful system they have there.

I'd give 10-1 odds that you watch Fox News. There was a perfect sum up of them today in cyberspace, ''For News is rich people paying rich people to tell the middle class that the poor are the problem.'' From your talking points, that sounds a lot like you. The Judge was good, but they just dumped him.

Calling anything the best, is something I try to avoid. It gets in the way of what an Older Brother always said, ''Make it better.''

Had true Socialist written that last Healthcare Care bill, that they babble-on for a year about, and which only helped the Insurance Companies, they would have come up with a plan that would have worked for everyone. All they did was model it after Mitts Massatack bs. Mitt could have gotten Mass fixed, just by expanding Masshealth, which is a great plan for the low income in MA, and allowing people to buy into it.

I forget who said this, ''I tell people, you don't earn 500 million, you steal it. You earn 50 or so grand a year.'' Or something like that.

And yet I back it up.. What do you do? Nothing. You have nothing. You are bereft of ideas or thought. I have shown you analysis from people who actually lived through the depression, whereas you just babble about some stuff you thought up while sitting next to a warm bong.

Since I really could not find where you backed anything up, let me see if I got this right:

Had we let the wealthy non benevolent self interested bankers handle the panic of 1929 instead of the meddling socialists in the Socialist created Federal Reserve there would have been no depression, sure a cyclically recession that cleans the Free Market system would have happened, but no Great Depression! Therefore, the Great Depression was not the result of greed and a failure of Free Market Capitalism.

Does this correctly state your knowledge of the facts?

And your evidence of this is what? Have I ever quoted a fox news source? Not that I know of.. The rest of your diatribe really isn't worth responding to.

You use lots of Foxes talking points, like the evil socialist Obama is. Make no mistake, I am no fan of his. But since we won the cold war over 2 decades ago, (though we wonder why the bomb still exists.) fear of communism, since both Russia and China or now pretty much Capitalists, is nonsense. Fear of fascism, while, is fear of the reality capitalism has turned into.

Hey Jafo, is this your position or what?

I don't want you calling me a liar with shit in my hair shopping for underwear in Kmart...

You may think that is witty argument but I just think it pathetic!
