Well.. all hell done broke loose here yesterday!!!! The Chooks like to read the paper on the Loo in the mornings (before I take the toilet paper out so they can't have an ES-CAPE while I'm at work.) We only get the Sunday paper so I give it to them on Mon. morning and it lasts them the whole week. Anyway they had a fit when they saw a headline "TURKEY SHORTAGE IN AUSTRALIA". (Fairdinkum!!!)
Boy that sure put the wind up 'em!!
Apparently lots of the Turkeys we eat here are imported from Canda and they AIN'T HAPPY!
It's to do with our weather. They aren't breeding quick enough and the eggs aren't hatching. So if there aren't enough Turkey's.............. WELL YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. (I had to type this after dark while they're asleep up on their bamboo perch, they can't see the computer reflection in the mirrors I set up for them, from there.)
I promised them I'd protect them from Chooknapping, Turkeyless, Christmas cooks if they promise not to make anymore ES-CAPES even if they hear Alice's again next Thanksgiving.
(If you don't know what the HELL I'm talking about don't worry I'm not really crazy it's just one of those on going threads that jumps around on these forums, Hey this is the GROUP W. (not DUBYA) Bench after all!!)
It's only 8PM. but I think I should go to bed. Oh, I forgot to tell you I only charged the Chooks 32 cents for the second-hand newspaper (that's just so you know it's really me)

Bad news, Louise. The chooks know all about your message. They can decipher your key strokes on the keyboard, so you'll have to soundproof your place also.

I wonder if cranberry sauce goes well with chooks?

The chooks have a loo? (Is that the Queens English spelling of loo?)

Our goose gets real nervous this time of year ... I think he spies us watching A Christmas Carol and hopes he doesn't end up being the main meal. Fortunately for him (and our American chooks--err, chickens, there's no lack of turkeys or ham here). Some of the chickens ended up in the pot, but lucky for the rest of them, they were tough as an old boot. So, right now they're happy campers (a little chilly, but happy). I do feel for the one that keeps laying double-yolk eggs, though.

You need more turkeys in Oz? Perhaps we can export some of the surplus ones we got in Washington D.C. They got a coop at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. just brimmin' with 'em.

No good. Larry. Them old Republican birds are just too tough for the table. By the way, I saw a homeless guy on the main drag in Ocala today carrying a sign saying "Ex-Bush Cabinet Member!"
