i guess i'm one of the unusual ones that normally keep a set list, but i'm afraid i didn't this time. what larry said on the flat picking...great stuff! i could have just listened to that all night. i love hearing arlo play with those guys, and it sure looked like they were enjoying it, too! one song arlo pulled out of the hat was "shackles and chains". don't think i ever heard him do that one live.

in any case, i heard all 3 shows (1 from inside and the other 2 from the kitchen)...and all were wonderful! thanks to arlo and all the guys in the band for the great music!

btw...if you ever see terry a la berry and he's wearing red beads, ask him where he got them. he can tell a story with the best of them!

I have been humming Shackles and Chains for 2 days now. I really enjoyed that song especially!
Of course I especially enjoyed my other favorite song...each one after the other!!

I watched the last episode of "Byrds" on the tiny TV in my brain as Arlo played Moon Song....That song hit me hard from the first moment I heard it. Still does.

I think my VERY FAVORITE though, has to be

Larry, I think that little 0015 mahogany Martin is in Nashville tuning...the low E,A,D and G strings are from the octave set from a set of strings for a 12 string guitar (the G will be the thinnest string on the guitar) and are tuned an octave above what the guitar is normally tuned (and I suspect the low E is dropped to D since Arlo is playing it in D) and the B and high E are regular E and B strings, tuned as normal. People around here call it "angel" tuning...it sort of has that etherial, heavenly sound that cuts above everything else being played. It sure sounds good in "Gypsy Davy!" I was glad I was sitting close enough on Sunday to see what Arlo was doing on that guitar during that song... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

**Actually, several Novembers ago, Arlo and Dylan DID play the same town, sort of... Dylan was in South Philly and Arlo was sorta near the Northeast... in Glenside at the Keswick... the way he told the story THAT night was that they never played the same town again... until tonight. I thought it was just plain funny, until I got into my car after the show to hear nothing but Dylan on the radio. That's when I found out that Arlo was actually telling the TRUTH! Dylan WAS in town that night.

Note: My little guy, Michael (age eight) asked Arlo after the show (we were outside looking for him, Lance went back in to find Michael having a discussion with Arlo )... "Arlo, why do you walk out when you know you're going to walk back in right away?" "That's called an 'encore'." "I know THAT... " The next night, Arlo didn't leave the stage. Instead, they all stood up as IF they were going to leave, huddled on stage and Arlo put up his "wait a minute" finger and said "wait a minute, before you leave..." and they all sat down for another song.

Does that prove that ONE person CAN change the world?

Terrie, thanks for posting a setlist. (you too Bonehead) Sounds like a good one to me~! ntm: always LOVE hearing anything from 'Son Of The Wind'. I can't (can) imagine the atmosphere. Like you'd be able to cut the good vibes with a knife, if they were like smoke, or somthing visible to the eye. But I guess we keep those good vibes right where God intended them to be. Deep in our hearts!
