Both my sympathy & empathy go out to all ya folks who live in the lower north east. I've lived through blizzards, a 100" of snow, and an ice storm with no power for a week, and it ain't fun!

Hope y'all are the lucky ones who have power. I'm thinking about all y'all and remembering how weird & difficult it was.

I'm sending blundervibes to those people in the Carolinas, Tennessee, Virginia, etc... who got hit with the worst ice storm on record...

Here I am in upstate New York, with about two inches of light fluffy snow... I'm certainly not going to complain about a little below-normal temperatures...

I sure wish we had gotten more of that when it passed through the Rockies. I think it started dumping on Oklahoma, and just kept rolling east.

God knows we can use the precipitation - we're in a bit of a drought here in Colorado.

Coastal NC is okay.

Many of you would have gotten a kick out of the many closings because of "The threat of possible freezing rain..."
We always hope we'll get a little snow, but rarely does that happen...the water keeps the freeze away usually.
60 miles inland is another story....

South central PA didn't get "too much" snow. Although to listen to the news media, you'd think we had a blizzard! Words like "treacherous" creep into the vernacular this time of year, regardless of whether we're getting an inch of flurries or a full-scale storm.

My area had about 5 inches average and the farther north we drove, the less snow they had. Go figure! This was one strange, easy to drive in storm (and I rarely drive in snow!).

I just wish the rest of the winter we'd have snow more like what we had on Thursday, rather than what we "normally" get.
