As much as I don't like to see a person die, I don't like to see an animal take the brunt of an uncontrolled temper either. Instant Karma indeed Deb.

It's hard to say something that doesn't sound crass and unfeeling toward the guy. All I can think of is, 'What Deb said.'

Hmmmm, wonder if the wife "accidentally" loaded the gun (probably wasn't the first time he'd beat the dog--or wife--with the gun).

I'll bet the dog shot him, but Johnny Cocoran and F. Lee Baily will get him off.

I never beat my dog with a loaded gun, and if I did I would never let him near the trigger, besides he does not like guns very much since I went shooting with him and the automatic I was using discharged it's spend shell case and hit him. Boom, bang and that dog was out of there.
When my dog and I are in the woods, he chases things until they turn on him and chase him back to me, then I discharge the weapon into a nearby tree, flash, boom and the dog is safe and no one is hurt except for the tree.
I for one think that the dog was acting is self defense.

Careful Nate, one of these days the tree might shoot back. Didn't you ever see "The Wizard of Oz"???
