A drunk does not need or want someone to tell them they should not drink, a smoker does not want to be told to stop. It is a wonderful thing to know you can be way off base but still, You want to bitch and why not?

This topic is just that, a place to be unreasonable, to scream, to moan and to act out your anger at the world in general, without someone saying you shouldn't.

Be rude, be crude, be just like Larry would be if he wasn't so very polite, or in other words act like me on a bad day.

My gripe is that Nate spelled Gripes wrong in this thread title. I would call him a chowderhead, but that might offend the CLAM!

I spill a little Dr Pepper on my computer and right away the N goes bye bye and the space bar stops working, so I have to use Becky's computer to type this, what's that all about?

Larry, I knew that there was an E missing but I felt it was understood as this is an "E" posting

Why to go Pat, give that damn machine Hell, yes rage is a wonderful tool.

I woke up this morning and read the paper, half asleep until I came to the lifestyles section and saw my picture there covering one fourth of the page. Surprise surprise, The section is being called "People and Places featured on Star pages in 2002". I think they should warn a guy, what if I had thought it was the obits, I mean I would have just died.

well that is my only bitch today, except for the snow and that we did not need but maybe it will help them folks up north if we take a little for them, but let's not make a habit of this.

I'm glad I finally read this thread. I'd been wondering what an "adult grip" was.

How am I suppose to answer your question when my keyboard is not working? gee, I bet you never thought about that one did you?

Had you of looked you could have seen I was using my brother's computer to type post, and had I have been using my own computer then I would have said I had no letter a or r and you would have know which letters I was refering to by means of speacial implants which I was mailing out to everyone, but now I have all my letters sao forget it.

At this time 34 years ago, I was being told, "I am going to turn you into a lean green killing machine or fresh meat for the VC" Yes, a wonderful DI of the USMC was welcoming me into hell. The old Corps was such a fun bunch of guys. I brother turns 55 today, I wonder why he keeps getting older while I stay the same?

If you are thinking of joining the Marines, or if you know someone who is thinking of it, May I suggest that you stand in front of a fast moving train to see if you can stop it. It is both quicker and lot more fun then being a marine.
It was the best of times, It was the worst of times...It found in me the best I could be and tried to turn that into a killing force, but it just made me a lot stronger. It showed me man's evil side and just what an evil person can and will do, I pray that the evil can be put away and we can all learn to live together in peace.

Ra, ra, ra,
Nathen, we just thought you were cheering!

My son is about 3 weeks away from graduating from USMC boot camp. I'll have to tell him about the train track theory. He says that his Dad is better than any DI at yelling, so he's already been hollered at by the best. No sweat!

I was in the old corps, they used torture, beatings and all kinds of mean nasty things which they no longer do. I wonder if they still say "When I kill the only thing I feel is recoil"? The Marines are great for many things and the teaching is such as to stay with a person for life, once a Marine always a Marine.

Is he a Paris Island or Hollwood Marine? I myself enjoyed the winter in San Diego, swimming in mud holes from 5am until after dark, but like I said it was both the best and the worst of times, if you visit him on the base, expect to see some changes, he will not be the boy you sent away.

That Wyldflower came into another topic and bitch slapped me for my spelling, well that little lady is just old fashisoned, she needs to learn the proper way to spell in 2003, perhaps the following will be of some help to her............

The European Union commissioners have announced that agreement has been reached to adopt English as the preferred language for European communications, rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phased plan for what will be known as EuroEnglish (Euro for short).

In the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c". Sertainly, sivil servants will resieve this news with joy. Also, the hard "c" will be replaced with "k". Not only will this klear up konfusion, but typewriters kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced by "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20 per sent shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of silent "e"s in the languag is disgrasful, and they would go.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" by "z" and "w" by "v".

During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou", and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plase!

I hope that clears things up and Ms Wyldchild will be posting how very sorry she is for her error..............I am waiting.......still waiting........any minute now I am sure she will be posting................oh I need to post this first.........................I see.

LOL Ceas, don't get me started on schools! Nathan--my son is at Parris Island, and we're going down at the end of January to see his graduation. I've already seen a Navy one and an Air Force. Mike's recruiter promises that the Marine graduation ceremony is unlike any of those. Mike already sounds quite different, and more self-confident, which is what he needed. I'm seriously afraid that if he hadn't gone in the Corps, we'd have been fiinding his corpse on the street. He was drinking himself silly and doing stupid things with stupider (though loyal) friends. Whatever happens in the future, I think this is a good thing for him. I'm worried, of course, but not as deeply scared for him as I was awhile ago.
Semper fi!
