To sum up how successful the U.S. Army acts in Iraq: (to be cont'd)

1. One British Tornado Jet shot down successfully

2. Two "tomahawks" launched successfully against Turkey.

3. One British star reporter shot by "allied" while killing a bunch of Iraqis which wanted to give up.

4. Kuweiti oil base destroyed successfully

5. Successful attack of U.S. soldier against his chiefs tent.

6, Successful strike against private bus with Syrian refugees near the Syrian border with air-to-ground missile


..and so it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for..?!?

Riot, the following is not a post regarding you as a person, rather it is an answer to your topic.

BULLSHIT, To look at only a few mistakes that an army makes and to say that those mistakes show the complete picture is just wrong. I am a dove but I am also a person who has served with the United States Marines, and I say that with pride.

I am proud of our military and both the courage they have shown and the compassion that they will show. I admire the many hundreds of times that they have directly hit the target and I can understand the few times the do miss....but please note that we do in fact admit our errors.

These few brave men have been sent to a place they do not want to be to perform a duty they do not want to do and they must risk their lives to fullfill the orders of their commanders, No friend, this is neither the time nor the place to pick on our forces.

oh yes, Peace Now

...and women.

I had thought of saying and women, but as a Marine, I never saw a another Marine in any terms but as a Marine, to me there is no separation by color or sex, the uniform makes brothers of them all. If the marine just happened to be born female, that fact changes when she puts on the uniform. I really do not think that in this day and age, sex has anything to do with who is or is not suitable for service.
Women just might make better Marines for combat, they do have that certain quality in them from birth.

Amen, Nathen and Ceashel. I was sad to learn that one of the POW's is a woman--actually I was sad to learn that the Iraquis had ANY POW's, but...I hope this ordeal is over quickly and all of our troops can come home. It's too bad for any Iraqui's who REALLY want to surrender that their fellow citizens use this tactic for attacking our troops but fool me once.....
