I've only rarely done so, but this year . . . I can't recall feeling so desperate about it. The closest was '72, but I was young and dumb enough to think McGovern had a chance, so the desperation didn't come until after the election.

It's going to be a long nasty campaign, I think.... I really feel strongly that Bush is going too far, using images from 9/11 in his ads...

I hadn't been familiar with the cartoonist, Paul Jamiol, but I think he hits the nail on the head here:
Jamiol's World

Wyld thanks for the link. The cartoon says it all. Here's another:

I agree the campaign will be nasty. Given what the Dems are up against I don't see how it can be otherwise.

New favorite bumper sticker:

If you can read this; you're not the president.

So Ashcroft has a piece of one of the 9-11 airliners in his office. His spokesmen are trying to explain it away by saying it's not a souvenier but a reminder of 9-11. I don't know about you but I haven't forgotten 9-11 and if word got out that I had a keepsake from ground zero you can bet the authorities would be knocking at my door.

I think it was Rumsfeld with the piece of the plane that hit the Pentagon, not Asscroft.(Mis-spelled with purpose)

Thanks Larry, I was over tired and a bit punchy when I posted. If you're gonna skewer someone you should at least get the name right.

Well John, if Bush can get the TARGET wrong, I suppose it's ok for you to get the name wrong!

I've found the group we all need to get behind for this year's election!

Billionaires for Bush!
