We voted on Thursday. After all this, it felt sooo good! This weekend, we'll begin preparations for the big Welcome Home party!

Shelley and Jay--what have you got planned? Gonna give ol' Bush a welcome-back (thank Godde you're out of the White House) shivaree? Toilet paper the ranch house? Send a herd of donkeys to him COD? (They've got room for some donkeys, right?)

Mom cast her ballot too. Me, I've gotta wait until tomorrow morning. I'll be there with bells on! Printed out a voter's rights thing I received via email this morning, too, to take with me just in case I witness anything that should not be.

Donkeys--good idea. After the fireworks, we'll be giving him some pet goats to help with the brush clearing. (Better get a Dem wrangler to take care of the animals, though. We DO want them fed and cared for.)

For entertainment at the party, we're going to let Bush explain to the kids of Texas why he has mortgaged their future. When they get tire of the BS, we'll have this game for them to play. You can try it out: Give Bush a Brain

When the polls close at 8 pm Tues there it will be 10am Wed morn here.I sure wish I didn't have to be at work but I'll be listening to the radio. People at work (except for maybe 2) dont really understand why I'm so het up and stressd and serious about this. Well it's 6:15pm here Tues evening and when I come back on after work tomorrow it will be 2am Wed morn there so I'll be looking forward to celebrating with you all!!!!!!!!!!!in the next few days!!!!

The last time I remember feeling like this was over 40 years ago. It was the Cuban Missile Crisis. We had to go on functioning, even us schoolkids, while the fate of the world seemed to hang on the decisions that were being made. I mentioned this to someone who wasn't quite born then and he said that I wasn't the first person to make that comparison to him.

A JFK from MA got us through that one.

Good news is our small town, and even smaller township, is having a great turnout so far. I think that's good news, anyway. (Only 9 booths--3 for each voting district.)

Yea Pat your spot on!! I watched a documentary on the Missle crisis the other night and seeing the duck and cover ads again made me feel 8 years old again, curled up under my desk at Multnomah grade school in Portland Ore. It was scary enough feeling like that as a child, but with the knowledge of an adult it's even more terrifying. It's 4am on Wed morn here, 2 pm vote day there. Gosh I whish I didn't have to go to work!! where most people don't understand how I'm feeling.I feel like crying and they'll just think I'm strange.(well some of them do anyway, it's hard being a square peg in a round hole sometimes, but you all know how that feels!!)

I gotta pray for Dubya. Good luck. I told Mike it's funny how they have an anything but Dubya campaign but no anything but Kerry one...

I don't think that's funny at all.Bush is a proven failure, Kerry has not had his chance yet. It shows that there are still people with brains who know that dubya is the most failed president of our lifetimes,and may be the worst president in the history of the country.Sadly, I think history may well prove the later.
And there was/is an anything but Kerry campaign......the swiftboater guys. The good news is that the anyone but bush people outnumber them by about a million to one.
