Never mind Punxatawny Pete, the groundhog, telling us that winter will last six more weeks. Tonight, we get the real bad news: four more years of Bush and his ilk messing around with Social Security, women's rights, and screwing the environment (not to mention wars).

....well, mikey, i sure hope it's not the movie version of Ground Hog Day.....and that state of the union is given over and over and ......

...this morning on Democracy Now news, i saw a piece of Sen Kennedy's Speech in Congress yesterday during the debate on Gonsalez for Attorney General (he of the torture agendas).....for all of Kennedy's flaws...and there have been some serious ones....for a senior senator who will win no matter what he says or does i have been impressed and grateful for his leadership in speaking up on the Iraqi war ...voting against Ms. Rice.......and now he is supporting a bill to stop the use of taxes to fund the White House in hiring propaganda mongers for it's policies.....(see moveon.org for further info)....

....i'm proud to be from his state....

Awhile back some people from the National Party (used to be called the Country Party,they like to live a century behind the rest of us)tried to rekindle the abortion debate!! Well, their leader John A., is Little Johnnie's Depudy Prime Minister,and while L.J. is away, visiting Indonesia, this guy is trying to stir up the Abortion Debate AGAIN!!! Even tho L.J. is a "Leave it to Beaver" kinda guy he has promised nothing will ever change back. Johnnies party, The Liberal Party (read Republican Party)is in coalition with The Nationals. Thank goodness, Female Liberal Party
Senetors etc, are telling this guy to butt out of it, and that this debate was settled 30 years ago!!! Of course the religous right are putting in their 32 cents worth!!!!!

I didn't watch his address. I like Dub but those speeches are soooo boring & prempt good primtime shows. They should've showed it at 10 pm so folks could still see stuff like KING OF QUEENS. When you don't have cable you have to take what you can get thats good & then to have it prempted. I watch the highlights of him on the news. Same info but shorter viewing time...

Cheryl, how can you say that speech was boring? It had us alternately laughing, crying, screaming, making gestures...

Forgot to mention I didn't mean to imply I thought his speech was boring. I just find all speaches by all Presidents no matter whether Repub or Dem boring. Yawn... LOL... I didn't watch the speech... I was already having tummy troubles earlier in the evening, and I didn't want to be sick all over the tv.

I just can't watch the man anymore. The smirking, the lying, the doublespeak, the spin, the crap the pure evil...OK...I'm getting a blood pressure moment just thinking about him.

One very apt thing - Someone called into Randi Rhodes on AAR complaining that she didn't respect the office of President. She told the guy that it was Bush who didn't respect the office.

Great Blundertminds think alike!!! I was gonna watch the speech and dissection of it (by Sheilds and Brooks) on Lehrer when I got home this evening, but I met up with a friend from Horticultural College, who works near where I work, and I went and had a cup a Joe with her instead! Much more pleasant than getting an upset tummy and high blood pressure from yelling at the T.V.!!!!!!!!
I find it hard to look at him anymore too.
I only saw a short piece of the speech on the news the other night. I think he needs to read some Dale Carnegie!!! He sure knows how to make friends doesn't he! Is MEGALOMANIAC the right word?.. Wait!! UH OH..... I hear a helicopter over my house..... I sure hope it's the Blundercopter not you know who!!!!!!!!!

I watch the whole thing - using my thumb and finger, I sat back and did as Elvis did - it helped keep the blood pressure in-check - but the room smelled of gun powder by speech end -
