Yup people here are startin' to get it now too. We have just had new Terrorist Laws passed thru the Senate which take away more freedoms, and Dubya Depudy Johnnie H is also
trying to bring in new Industrial Relations laws which will advantage Employers e.g. If you have a business of under 100 employees, which is about 90 percent of business's here, the unfair dismissal laws will no longer apply. People will have to negotiate personal contracts for their holidays, (we get 4 weeks paid leave per annum), sick leave, weekend penalties, (time and a half or on holidays double time or sometimes double time and a half) and even meal breaks for goodness sake. Yea Yea I know we've had it pretty darn good but people fought long and hard for it. Of course our Labour Party (the Opposition) are dead against it. So people are startin to think here also that just maybe they voted for the wrong guy last year. Course now I just say, "Well you voted him in",but I fell like sayin' "Well open your eye's next time and take time do some research and find out what's REALLY going on instead of acting like a MUSHROOM! (you know, kept in the dark and fed s**t!)

Last nite a friend & I were discussing about how hard Dubya had it cuz he keeps getting put down. We realized poor guy it's gotta be tough to be Prez when folks are putting ya down...

Bush is the champion at hiring attack dogs to put down anyone who dares to disagree with him. Opposing him is to invite personal destruction (see Kerry, Gore, McCain).

An example of presidential put downs would be what the self-proclaimed conservatives did during the Clinton years.

All Bush has to do is not have whoever reads the papers to him leave out the negative articles, which appears to happen most of the time based on his clueless view of the U.S. and the world.

Wow, that's an amazing twist if I ever heard one... being prez is always a tough job, BUT it's not BECAUSE people are putting him down... it's BECAUSE he DESERVES to be put down (pun???).

Bush's latest rant, and it's certainly not new among these neo-cons, is that if you criticize him on his Iraq policy you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy and are just this side of treason.

Haven't we heard this before in the 50's (McCarthyism) and the 70's (Viet Nam)?

I saw it on cspan so it will probably be replayed. Cheryl, you should listen to Ratner's description the human rights violations that Bush is allowing on the HOSTAGES he has in Cuba. It will make you sick, and it's being done in your/our name. Donahue gave one of the most eloquent speeches I have ever heard. He (a Christian) explains the reason for the need for separation between church and state.

These two guys get it.

I think that Bush sent the wrong message when he allowed all the Bin Ladens to leave the United States when all other aircraft were grounded right after 9/11, when he shifted our focus from catching Osama to taking over Iraq for Haliburton and when he turned our country into one that the rest of the world speaks of in terms that used to be reserved for the USSR and before that Nazi Germany.
