I know we're only supposed to have one "handle" on the boards, but hope we can make an exception in this case. I'm at work now, and won't get home to my PC till tonight. I heard from Shirley. Her Dad is on full life support and getting weaker. She is on her way to Dallas right now, and asked me to let people know. She will be away from a computer when she gets there, so we may not hear from her in a while. She appreciates all the prayers and support that everyone has been sending, and her Dad and the whole family could still use some more, so please keep sending them!

BTW, I think you can use your login name on other puters besides your home one. If I'm wrong someone will correct me I know.

Those Blunderite prayers & good vibes were really powerful. With a little help from a high-powered specialist wearing spike heels, miniskirt, & a lab coat (& other stuff too), Dad came sailing back to us on Friday. He's alert, surprised at all the fuss that's been going on, "tired of resting" and ready to go home. It'll be awhile before he does that, and there'll be a long, difficult recovery, but that sure beats the alternative! Here's a little thought for the day:

Life is mostly froth and bubble, / Two things stand like stone, / Kindness
in another's trouble, / Courage in your own. -Adam Lindsay Gordon, poet
(1833-1870)

Thanks for all your kindness,
lots of love,
Shirley

That is great news! I'm very happy for you all. BTW, do you think it was the medical care, blundervibes or the spike heels and mini-skirt that were most instrumental in his recovery?

Yes - all of the above ... actually, he couldn't open his eyes wide enough to see the lady doc, but the other denizens of ICU enjoyed the view.
