SO!

They thought they'd be rid of this subject when the "October 13" thread was closed.

They thought I forgot to do the monthly countdown on Nov. 13, when I was away celebrating my anniversary.

They were wrong.

10 more months to go until the celebration of Maz's big homer to win the 1960 World Series at the Forbes Field Wall!

OK, back to what you were doing.

I can always assist in celebrating a loss by the dreaded Yankees any time. Particularly to an underdog like the 60's Pirates. But, Ruthie, wasn't Mantle from near your home town? Could be some controversy!

Joe, Don't want to hear about either the 71 or 79 series though

Go O's

PSBeaty, I am impressed, indeed with your knowledge of N.E. Oklahoma!
YES, Mickey was from Commerce, Ok. about 3 miles away.
I attended school with many of his, cousins, nieces & nephews!
He & Billy Martin, once came to town for a visit & attended our Church!
"Sooner Born & Sooner Bred", eh, PSB???!!
Have a good day!

All kidding aside, my heart goes out to fans like Larry & my brother-in-law Andy who miss their sport....Hope things are settled soon.

LOL! Cool....Besides a hot dog from the Hot Dog Man & an Italian meal, you all also gotta have a Primanti's sandwich, to get the full 'Burgh experience.

I've already planned what I'm gonna wear on Oct. 13. (OK, so maybe there really isn't that much to do in Pittsburgh...)

Joe, Oklahoma is kinda cool, at times! Spook Light, & Football, 'bout our only claim to fame!
Wonder, if neices, nephews, aunts & uncles count as far as rubbin elbows with 'The Stars'???? I kinda doubt it!
But thanks, buddy for making my day! & you have a great one, too! One & All!

Hey! Another Pittsburgh Blunderite! Why didn't the rest of yinz tell me??

I grew up in Blommfield, Gerry, not far from da Church Brew Works but I don't spend much time at all on da Nort'side, unless I'm at da Pirate game. Go to E's'liberty much?
