Happy New Year, folks! I snoozed right through it! No soy-dogs on a stick over an open fire outside this year! Last year it was warm enough to do it. This New Year's Day it's in the upper twenties (Fahrenheit) and we got four inches of new fallen snow!

Say Captain Zap I recall reading one of your posts stating that you live in Connecticut, I do too AAYY!! Which part of Connecticut are you from? I live four miles from the University of Connecticut home of the UCONN Huskies- GO HUSKIES!! Mansfield got 3 inches of snow what an awesome way to start the New Year off. we needed the snow to compensate for last Sunday, on Christmas God was using his dandruff shampoo and no flakes produced...BAAAHAAA!!!

we made it through the twilight zone new years marathon! sorta like living in blunderland for a month or two!!!

I hope the blackeyed peas work this year ... I ate my share, with yummy cornbread to sop up the 'juice.' My brain just re-surfaced, too (sort of). It was cat herding all weekend with our out-of-town company, even though none but us were Blunderites. In an onward-through-the-fog way, and a day late, Happy New Year!

I live up in the northwest hills of the state (I like to call it "left of center Connecticut") near the Mass border, although my sweetie was living in Ashford (not far from UConn) when we met. She frequented a bar that I was playing at (a little biker bar called the Phase 44, called something else now, I reckon), kept buyin' me snakebites, enticed me over to her abode with the prospect of buying a ten-speed bicycle from her (for which I never actually paid her the full amount or so she claims!) and the rest is history! Totally cool pork and beans Cap! It's small world after all! There has been lots of changes in the town of Ashford since the Phase 44 closed down back in the late seventies (I was in grade school at the time) Now there is a small plaza with a bar called Sneakers I believe and the Pipe Dream Stove shop and Mr. Butcher....HMMM I have not been up in that direction for ages now. I live in the town of Willington right next to Ashford. There used to be a restaurant, bake shop, and flower shop called the Wagon Shed and it burned down in the mid eighties...such a shame. My New Years was great and I am just getting over my megahangover....OW! LOL!! Thanks for reply Cap and see you around on the forum! Remember ladies, blonde makes the future bright!
