We saw them at a few shows with Arlo & they were really good. Didn't get to go see them when they came around here. Bummer. Maybe they'll come back. Arlo oughta get them to open up for him again...

I also saw the Mammals with Arlo last Fall they played great foot stamping, toe tapping, knee slapping, head smacking tunes. My favorite song was "The Bush Boys" had the same melody to "Mockingbird" but with substitute lyrics like "Papa's gonna buy you an alibi"If you listen to the song you'll know what I mean. Another fav is "Haircut Money" After the show I met Tao and Ruth and what nice kids they are :)....Yes Cheryl, I would love to see them open for Arlo again in the future 8)

I've seen the Mammals a few times... and this is a perfect excuse to head up to Boulder!

Hey Z-man... what are you and the Mrs. doing next Thursday?

I was hoping they would be somewhere nearby. Any venue that would have The Mammals is probably worth checking out.

It looks like a fun night. Generally, Z-lady and I don't gel too well with music that we enjoy, but if we both go into it cold, we might both come out with something beautiful. I'll check with her, and see whether she wants to go, and if not, perhaps she'll give me the ol' kitchen pass.

Edited to add: my thanks to Sparky for the heads-up on this thread.

My goof for not getting back sooner - too many irons in the fire I guess. Where are they playing in Boulder?

I see, they're at the Trilogy on the Pearl St. Mall. But that's Friday, not Thursday - does that help any, Wyld? Tickets are $10.

He HAS used the Mammals for a warm up act! They opened for him in Ocean City, NJ last summer, and for a few other concerts as well.

Duh! Friday, not Thursday!!!

That is MUCH better for me!!! I'll be there! I'm thinking to head north at 5, when I get off from work (my temp job, waiting for the 'real' job)... so I should be in Boulder in plenty of time for a quick bite before the show.

I can go, but I don't think Z-lady is going to. I've got to work Friday, possibly late, but not too late for the show.

Whoa, don't say that, Sparky - the last thing I want is to give my wife the wrong impression. Then, she won't let me go!
