We took time out of Regina's birthday week celebration to check out Arlo and Judy in Florida. The show was fantastic with Abe and Gordon Titcomb backing Arlo. Sarah and Johnny were not at this show. I'll post the full set-list when we get home but here's a few highlights. After Arlo's first song a woman near the stage complained he was to loud. Arlo stated he didn't control the mix from the stage, put his fingers in his ears and said "do this". Arlo's voice was giving him real problems this night. At one point he said "I'm really losing my voice, better sing some Dylan songs. " But the real highlight was the encore with Arlo, Judy, Abe, Gordon and Judy's pianist combining on City Of New Orleans, In My Life, (Arlo even did a nice guitar solo here) and Amazing Grace. Breathtaking. So thanks Arlo and Judy, we wanted to hang out and say hello but didn't think it'd be fair to ambush you at the bus in the rain. More when we get back to Jersey... .

You mentioned Simon and Garfunkel...and Ive been wanting to say this to somebody. How funny (I know its serious and I'll be serious later in front of kids and stuff) but how funny was it that Art Garfunkel, was busted for one joint in his Limo - thus fined $100. IN HIS LIMO!!!! That's not even the driver's tip! I just chuckled all day with that! I keep thinking...Art won that one...!

Anyway, the gig was wonderful!! Get JohnC to tell you about the beautiful venue (Purple building on the edge of the water - sail boats all around!) and the rest of the show details. It was a great night!!!!! Reg

I thought it was hilarious that he got caught with pot. I dont know, once a hippy always a hippy i guess.... at least that's what i always thought. There's just something funny about a man in his 60's (62 maybe?) getting busted with marijuana possesion.

sounds like you had a wonderful time at the concert... I think the closest he's coming to me is Annapolis MD, so hopefully i'll be able to catch that one

Yes, Art Garfunkel was arrested for possession of a couple of grams of MJ... well... He decided NOT to pay the fine... He will have his day in court!

How the heck do we let the government decide that a plant is illegal... a PLANT!?!? Something has to change, and someone fighting their arrest is one step toward what should be!

I'm sure that the lawyers and the judge in the case will sit down with a scotch or a martini to contemplate this illegal act and then provide fair and equal justice in Art's case.

Arlo does a show outside Phila every November. You can go with me if you'd like. He also does a show in Harrisburg around the same time. Sometimes Easton also. Sometimes I have to decide between Easton and Phila, other times I go to both. I've never been to the one in H'burg.

Hey guys...we arrived home at 11pm last night, after we had a WONDERFUL vacation, we opened our front door to find that we had - ultimately found out - 12 broken water pipes in our house. Mucho $ and water....and our house is wet swiss cheese. Picture Christmas boxes floating....John is VERY upset. (HE was home alone today dealing with the rusty water, plumbers and the new holes in our sheet rock, paneling, bathroom tiles and ceilings etc.) He's finally sleeping now, but I know he'll be up 1/2 the night. Being that this was his thread to begin with...maybe you all can throw some very dry blundervibes his way. Gather round please. REG

Regina and John, what a terrible way to return home. We've had that happen (at our apartment, in the garage) and it's not fun. Maybe your insurance will cover some/most/all of it.
