What are the shows like at Epcot? Sarah Lee & Johnny still touring with Arlo? I know they have some time off over Memorial Day and then to Australia? We keep hoping we can catch up with them again at another show.

I got to see Arlo 2 days in a row at Epcot. I stayed for all three sets. I would have gone last night, too, but could not justify missing work three nights in a row!

Yes, Sara Lee and Johnny were there. The shows were great. It is odd to imagine some of Arlo's stories and songs in the squeaky clean sanitized world of the mouse, but it works for me.

I live in Orlando and work for Disney, and I have to say there are not many chances for me to hear music that I love in this area. And it is wonderful to hear a mix of old favorites and new tunes, and great stories the way Arlo and his band do them. Arlo also patiently signed autographs and posed for photos. I am impressed when an artist takes the time to do that for the fans.

I did notice an avid fan making set lists - maybe he is a member of this list and will be posting them later.

I got to see 2 shows on Thursday night. They were great. Between the second and third show of the night I got to talk to a lot of people who were sitting around me and they were so happy to be there. It was a cool mellow group with a lot of great stories to tell about other Arlo concerts through the years. I would have gone on Friday but it was so hot out. I hope they come back for many years.
This will date me but I remember meeting Arlo at the Troubadour in LA in 1969. Time sure does fly by.

I also saw Arlo at Epcot. Went on Wednesday and saw two shows. We really enjoyed his performance, althought they were much too short. Disney does seem an odd venue, but it was great to be in a small, open-air theater, listening to such a great entertainer.

I am looking for some information about one of the songs he sang. Arlo talked about seeing an old poster, in Seattle, of himself and Janis Joplin. This inspired him to write a song. He sang the song with "my old friend" in the chorus. The lyrics were about friends from long ago that had not changed , that he would meet again some day. If anyone knows the title of this song and if it is available I would sure appreciate hearing it again.

I will also hope Arlo returns to Disney next year.

.....at the Church concert a couple of weeks back, Arlo said that "My Old Friend" is a new song....isnt' it great?!.....he also sang another new song called "Back by Popular Demand".... so, perhaps they will be available some day.....

both of those songs have my attention, but i haven't heard either of them yet.

He sang both songs at the concert in Milwaukee last month. Both songs were great as was the rest of the concert.

Arlo was using what looked like a plug-in volume control during the concert--it plugged into the guitar and the amp cord plugged into it. If that's what it was, I sure would like to find one.

I want to get up to a show at the church someday! The gizmo that he used may have been a preamp. I use one and they work great to EQ with just about any type of amplification you use if you don't have EQ and volume controls built into your instrument Fishman makes good accoustic pickups and preamps. There are othe makers...

Run, don't walk... to your phone... call the Guthrie Center... leave a message if there's no one there... get your tix to the Fourth of July weekend shows!!!!!!
(if you can't do that weekend, the next opportunity is the October Revival, during Columbus Day Weekend)

Epcot was wonderful! Thank you Arlo and family for the music and the warmth! The new song is haunting and BEAUTIFUL! Bobbi McGee was awesome!!!

I have a sneaking suspicion the avid fan was me. Anyhow, due to all the bumps in the road we've faced this year making the trip to Epcot was a last minute decision but everything came together nicely. I made reservations on the Auto-Train about a month in advance and Reg booked a room for the first couple nights days before leaving and we figured the rest would fall into place if we were able to make the trip. To make a long story short we made it and had a wonderful time, the weather was hot but bearable and we didn't see a drop of rain the entire week. We had a great time with the Epcot gigs being the highlight of the trip, so on to the set lists...

Reg and I thoroughly enjoyed the shows. Reg is a major Kristofferson fan and you should have seen her face when Arlo did "Bobby McGee". Arlo came out and met his fans after the second set each show, the second day the Disney stage manager told Arlo he needed to get backstage before everyone in line had a chance to meet him. Arlo asked the manager the time and politely but firmly told him he had six minutes and six fans on line and everyone got their minute. The third day there were far to many fans for Arlo to accomodate in the alloted time so the Disney people at least forewarned the folks at the end of the line they might not get to meet Arlo.

Sherry, We had plans to go to the Florida Folk Festival on Saturday, but decided not to spend our last day in Florida driving the 3+ hours each way. If we had known you and Ken would be there I'm sure we would have made the trip.
