I'm a newbie here. I just happened to find this site after my husband pulled out an Arlo CD and wondered out loud what he'd been doing lately.

Decided to look at Arlo's concert schedule and found that he'll be in Lewisburg at the end of October, so we reserved tickets today. I'm excited about taking a little road trip and seeing him in person!

Welcome to the site! I wish I could go to the Lewisburg, WV show but it is right in between the 4 Va shows in Oct & Nov so can't make it. :( If the show had been in the summer like Aug then we could've gone cuz we go by that every summer when we go on our 2 weeks trips to visit Mikes sister in Columbus, OH. Bummer but we have 4 shows in VA to go to so not bad at all. :) I'll let ya have my seat in front row cuz that's what I would've wanted if I coiuld've gone. Enjoy the show! :)

It sure seems that Arlo has a lot of loyal followers. I never even realized that he was touring so regularly.

When I called the Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg to get the tickets, the lady told me that they were selling out fast. The facility only accomodates 378 people, which is neat, because it'll seem more like an "intimate" setting.

I have a sheet music of Alice's Restaurant that I bought new when it came out (in 1972?) and I'm going to take it and hope that I can Arlo to autograph it. I figure it's worth a try. :)

By the way, I only live about an hour from Columbus. :)

Have a wonderful time. Wish I lived closer .. I'd be there in a heartbeat!!

Thanks, Cyndy! The sheet music will definitely make the trip with me- wouldn't it be great to have it framed and hung on the wall?!

I will certainly take my digital camera and hope for a picture or two.

I wish you could go, too. :)

Wow, an hr from Columbus. If it was south of Columbus, I probably drove that way going to & ftrom there. You'll have to stop by the Prussia Valley Dulcimer store in Waverly, OH. So many neat dulcimers & autoharps there. Also in Waverly, OH if you ever stop at 23 Diner they got a Norman Rockwell painting of Officer Obie in there. We ate there twice on the trip & both times somehow managed to sit at the seat that pic was behind. Talk about blunder coincidence. Oh yeah, I forgot o mention this on here but one day while in Columbus, I tuned in their classic rock station & happened to hear CONO on there. It totally made my day.

You will have so much fun seeing & meeting Arlo. He is so sweet & loveable! :) Yep, Arlo has a lot of loyal followers. It just dawned one me Arlo is doing 2 Carnagie Hall gigs in 2 different states. Welcome to the site!

Yes, I live south of Columbus, but it's further east than the Waverly area.
I don't have much occasion to head over that way. Used to work in Circleville, but that was a quite a few years ago. :)

You guys are all so friendly. Bet there will be someone from this site who shows up in Lewisburg- too bad we won't know to look out for each other.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Lora - when I went to the church in July, it was only a few months since I started hanging out on arlonet. I wanted to know some of my new blunderfriends so I knew what I was wearing that night. I told them to look for the person wearing the tan Woody T-shirt and quite a few found me!! IT was great! Just an idea that worked for me!! :D

I worked in Circleville for 3 years-- in the research lab at the RCA plant on Rte. 23. That was in the 80's, and the plant completely shut down a year or so ago. Good jobs that ain't comin' back.............

Have fun at the Lewisburg concert. When I saw the schedule, I called a very dear friend I've known since I was 3 years old. (She's older but that is another story for another time) and I told her that Arlo has scheduled Lewisburg in October. She lives in Lewisburg. She got off the phone and called immediately for tickets as she is a huge fan!! That will be a great setting in a neat town. Grab dinner at the General Lewis Inn if you can!!

(If you're roaming the site.....enjoy the show Nita and Ken!! I love you guys!!)

I'll see Cheryl in Harrisonburg...............

Peace,

J. David

I'm looking forward to visiting Lewisburg. I've driven through the area quite a few times but never had an opportunity to get off I-64 and look around. It sounds like a very nice town, and from the picture of Carnegie Hall, I'm imagining that it'll be a great concert setting!

Cool, someone else going to Harrisonburg! I think I got my tix in the mail this week. I have to hurry home the day after the gig cuz we're going with Mikes cousin & her hubby to the German Fest in Richmond. Should be fun but busy...
