Glad you had a good time. Did you happen to keep a setlist? Or maybe remember some of the songs/stories?

Hi! I didn't keep a list, but he did some great ones - Gypsy Davey, When the Ship Comes In, a little of Alice's Restaurant guitar with a narration about his daughter learning how to play the song - and how if he knew he would be asked to play it so much, he wouldn't have written such a long song. An Arlo interpretation of the bible story of Joseph & his brothers (very funny, but a parable still) and of course the City of New Orleans, etc. Gambler's Blues was exceptional and standing ovation for Coming into Los Angeles. Lots more songs, but I can't remember them all. Afterwards he sat on the stage and signed autographs.

It was the best concert I've been to in my life (I'm 53 so that's saying something) and the venue was great - intimate, ya know? Hope he comes back to the south soon!

We made it safely back to the land of peaches. What a wonderful show Arlo put on. We were outside the theater in Decatur around 2:30 in the afternoon and who should we see but Arlo standing across the street making pictures of the theater. We stopped and chatted with him and I got two pictures of him in front of the theater. Ola and I both enjoyed our trip to Decatur. I'll post the Arlo pictures on my web site
www.verbena-al.com.

A special thank you to Arlo, Gordon and Abe for an unforgettable concert at our Princess Theatre! You mesmerized our sold out house with your wonderful music and storytelling. More than several want you to know that this is the best concert they have ever been to. Your older fans rediscovered you and many young ones discovered your music.

We loved having you in Decatur, Alabama on our stage and we will have you back, hopefully for the Alice's Restaurant Tour. We appreciated your generosity and hope you made it safely to Texas. All of your new friends at the Princess say thanks.

I attended Arlo's concert in Springfield, MO which was just before he was in Decatur, AL. I have been following and enjoying to comments made as his tour unfolds. It definitely was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. Abe, Gordon and Arlo are explosive!

Benabob, your story of meeting him outside taking pics is fascinating. I sort of "hung" around in Springfield, but I don't have much luck in "unusual encounters"...that must have been a real treat for you. I did go to your website, but apparently you haven't had a chance to post the pics yet. However, I did enjoy browsing your site..very nicely done and extremely interesting.

Would it be over imposing on me to ask if you could e-mail me the pics?? My e-mail address is activated as I am a registered user here. I will return some pics of the Springfield concert if you are interested. Thank you.

Hi. I was at this show too and I have to say it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I'm 22 and have been an Arlo fan for years(ever since my mom played alices restaurant for me when I was a kid) but this is the first Arlo show I've been to. It makes me sick to think of all the times he came and I didnt go! My favorite story he told was the one about how he played Me and Bobby McGee for Janis Joplin years ago and didnt remember it till a few years ago when he saw a poster of them sitting together in the window of a pub(so he stole the poster).
I was also lucky enough to get to meet him and shake his hand after the show (me and some friends went and hung out by the back door, I didnt know he was signing autographs onstage), but I didnt get any pictures :( . Would it be too much to ask for you to email me the pictures too benabob? I had my camera but stupidly left it in the car. I dont know if Abe, Gordon and Arlo read these, but if you do I just want to say thank you again for the wonderful show, and please come back soon. It is an experience I will never forget. Oh yeah, and I have just one question. Any chance you will play You are My Sunshine next time? I dont even know if you ever perform this song since this was the first time I got to see you, but I know it would make me and alot of other people really happy if you did. :D

Just noticed that Decatur, Alabama has been added to the concert schedule for February 20, 2006. I'm so happy Arlo will be at the Princess Theatre again, also noticed other southern cities - Atlanta & Athens, GA and outside of Memphis, TN. Thanks so much for remembering your southern fans!
