Amen brother!

I must admit before I came to this site, I knew Arlo was famous, but since coming here now I know how many peoples lives he has touched. I went to the concert in Scottsdale and was amazed at the comraderie of all the people. Babies, to grandmothers, teenagers to war veterans sprawled out on blankets under the perfectly weathered sky. For the first time in a long time I felt privaledged to bare the name Guthrie. I never got to know my grandfather Jack Guthrie. He died when my father was 7, but for one moment I felt like I belonged to something far greater then myself. I will never forget how it felt to be able to call Arlo "Family". Thats not a word I've used very much but it felt really good. So now it is my turn to thank Arlo, for his stories, his memories, for making me laugh, for making me remember, for making me feel, and for allowing this wanderer to dock her ship if even for a little while. Thank you

So, Jennifer, did you get to meet your cousin? Tell us about it.

I did get to meet him. He is a wondeful man. I was refered to as the "mysterious cousin" until we met of course. I also got to meet a cousin of ours that lives here that I didn't even know I had. You see my father wasn't the best of people so I was really never close to that side of the family, And because of him I didn't really want to be. But now both my parents have passed and it's really just me and my older brother. I think it's awesome to realize that I actually have family. Weather he was famous or not, It's awesome to have family. Especially when it's someone like Arlo.

Arlo kept me in AWE all night. His stories and anectdotes and songs, kept me laughing clapping and singing. I really want a copy of that Hawaiin song that he palyed it was Awesome.

Weather I was realated to him or not I would recommend that show to ANYONE.

That so neat you had a great time. Wish Arlo was my cousin I have a famous cousin too. Jason Mraz the folk singer. Fortunately I've known him all his life. I never dreamed he'd make it big. It's fun watching his career...

Jason has a famous cousin too! Cheryl Harrell is a household word(s)........I mean at least around these parts anyway!

I'm not really that famous tho. Larry & Larnie are the faouos ones...

Mraz is pretty good. I caught a show of his not to long ago. he has this song called the Dream Life of Rand McNally thats insanely awesome.

Oh wow, where did ya see Mraz? We've seen him in concert several times & he's good. & Not just cuz he's my cousin altho if he weren't my cousin I'd have probably never heard of him. Dream Life of Rand McNally is a great song. Mraz likes Arlo too & so does his dad so it's all interconnected somehow.

I am grateful to Arlo for adding more gigs. In addition to the Bethesda, MD gig this month & Alexandria, VA in Sept & next yr in April to Fairfax, VA. Should be fun as usual...

I wish he'd come out to my neck of the woods. I suppose Cleveland is the closest but its a four hour drive. Cincinnati is a much better city, (and its closer.)

I saw Jason play some time ago. 930 club in DC if I'm not mistaken.

We saw Mraz in Columbus, OH a coupla ys back. We planned our annual 2 weeks trip to visit Mikes sister who lives there, around it. I remember his 9:30 club shows but never got to go to those. Bummer...

I've seen Arlo in Covington, KY (Cincy suburb) & Mt Vernon, OH & Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Those were fun shows. Somehow everytime he comes to Columbus it's never when we can plan our trip to Mikes sisters around it...
