Yesterday was my son's 1st birthday. We had a small party with family. He unwrapped it. It was a copy of "Woody's Twenty Grow Big Songs" signed by you entire band. My mom got it signed by all of you at the Touhill in St. Louis on 5-4-05. I took my mom and husband there for her birthday which was 5-5-05. The book is awesome! I also have some great photos of my 3 year old daughter and my son with you from that show. I know I have posted this before and sent some private messages as well. I have seen you a bunch of times but that show was actually a turning point in my life. It was so great to see my mom, my wife, my 2 kids, etc... in such an intimate environment!

All I want to know so I can sleep at night is if that show is recorded anywhere!
If anyone has any suggestions on finding out or getting ahold of Arlo, please, please, please, let me know.

Once again, thanks for moments we'll never forget!

Thanks,
Justin

Hi, Justin!

I'm glad that you and your young'un enjoyed that show! I know you had posted in Setlists asking whether anyone had taped the show... I think if anyone here had, they would have been in touch with you. You might want to take a look at the setlists from other shows around the time of the St Louis show, and see if there's another show with a similar setlist that would give the feeling of the show you enjoyed.

As for Arlo... well... he's wandering all around this country... Colorado last I heard... and he's somewhat irregular about posting.

Thanks for the reply and thanks to sparky also!

There was a tv station there at the begining but I don't think they stayed for the whole show. Does anyone remember who that might have been?

Thanks again for all of everyones help. This is the only messageboard I have ever seen that everything is positive!!! I love it!

I mixed up March with May.

Sorry about that!

Thanks,
Justin

The shows evolve, usually. So the closer to "your
date, the more like it the tape will be. (With exceptions.) Even many months away, much will remind your of your show (at least in my experience). I recommend getting "Live In Sydney." It may be more like "your" show than you might expect it to be. Then you can fill in. Oh--and, welcome! Stick around!

Hi Justin, I have felt your pain. For different reasons I have tried to contact Arlo via his Rising Son email address. I have sent the same messages several times just to make sure they were getting through. I guess they did but I am still unsure as to weather or not that is Arlo's real mailbox or one to catch all the traffic from the the public. Which would be understandable if you know what a pain it is to get a bunch of extra stuff in your email box. People pay $$ to have that controlled. Just think if you were a person like Arlo with a lot of fans like you and me trying to get through. It would probably be like a second job to answer all the messages.

As far as I am concerned Arlo does more than his fair share of paying attention to his fans. So I don't hold his internet obscurity against him. If I want to say something to him that bad I can probably say it to him after one of his shows. This man could not be kinder or more appreciative of his fans I think. It would be cool to get a personal message from him I think but perfectly understandable why not.

One time I got a return message from Leigh Stephens and thought I was really pretty lucky. Of course Leigh is the original guitar player for Blue Cheer back in 68-69. Not as many people are familiar with Blue Cheer or their guitar player as would be with Arlo, so my chances or reply were better I think.

Peace Y'all

Oh no. I'm not mad. I completely understand. He was awesome at the show. He hung out with my kids, my mom, my wife, and myself as if he was as comfortable with his fans as he was with his own family. I figure he knows if the show was taped and I'm just hoping to hear from him.

Hi, Arlo! How's things in the reddest of red states, Idaho? Apparently, the question is if your 3/4/05 show in St. Louis is available on tape anywhere, maybe even a pirated recording.

So long as we're asking questions, are the baked potatos REALLY better in Idaho, and who does one talk to about getting your own private Idaho?
(Mikey, if I had my own private Idaho, I'd paint it blue.)
Sorry for being a smartass, but it's what I do. :)

I knew he'd eventually post on here. He comes out of hiding every so often... :)
