You're right. Arlo does very well in remembering the words to Alices. I know if I were him I wouldn't be able to remember all that stuff... :)

Hi Cheryl,

tour update from mammoth lakes CA (bloody cold here mate) - we now have tickets to The Eagles at Anaheim on next Wed 14 Sep. I think bro-in-law is going to talk to Joe Walsh about a spoon solo in the Rocky Mountain Way encore :D He's pretty cut up about not getting a gig with adg. But of course, Brian WIlson, The Eagles, and Loretta Lynn will be merely support acts to that other American music legend ....

Found out a bit late on the Roanoke show, but got some gold seats in the Balcony. Better than nothing I guess. Should I take binoculars?

Hey Cheryl,

tour update - we're getting closer. Augusta tonight and on to Charleston tomorrow for a few days, then Smoky Mountains and VA. Our live music award so far goes to the Corey Osborne band at BB Kings Bar in Memphis. Bro in law got to play spoons at a couple of bars in Nashville, so he's sorta happy and the locals seemed to be impressed. (They were taking photos!) . See y'all at Roanoke.

Late update - we're just back this evening from a day at Dollywood at Pigeon Forge TN. Getting ready to head to Roanoke, bro-in-law is busy polishing the spoons. But ... after Dollywood, adg sure has a hard act to follow :)

I saw something on their site where they didn't like ya using cameras during the show. So I'm gonna sneak & take pics without flash. Shhhh... LOL... Would love to meet you good folks up there. I'll be the big chick wearing a tyedye shirt with a peace sign on the front & back & flared jeans & if it gets cool a long blue sweater. For Charlottesville I'm gonna look a little more normal if that's possible, aqua wideleg pants made of 70's style polyester with a cute top & maybe a poncho if it gets cool lol. I can't wait! :) I gotta get my butt in bed soon so I can get up early lol...

We had a great time at the Roanoke show! It was nice meeting Dave & his wife from Oz & Chipster! :) Hope they all have safe trips back home & Hope Dave & co enjoyed their USA tour. Thanks to Arlo for a great show, to Petie for mentioning Texas Tavern on here where we had a great mezal after the gis & our fellow blunderites who came to the show & were fun to meet & to the Mammals for a fine opening set. It was a great show, Alice, Arlo playing a coupla songs on the Uke, Story of Joseph, Cono, Coming Into LA & more. The Mammals opened & were great Charlottesville will be fun as usual! :) Here are a few of my pics I took:

What a wonderful show! Nice to meet Cheryl and her hubby. The sound was awesome and the set list perfect. Actually I think that was a Banjolele that Arlo used on All Along the Watchtower and other songs. I heard several comments from folks on how amazing the Mammals were. The whole concert was just a joy!! Stay safe folks..
