is there a song by this name? i heard a song at a show in prov, ri and i thought it was the name. it was about prez carter gettin into a boat and and was attacked by a rabbit.

wow, that brings back some memories, saw arlo perform that in wallingford, ct (?) maybe 20 or more years ago, just days after seeing Tom P. at the Iron Horse (Northampton, MA). Tom's was good, but adg had 2 quite attractive women dressed up as Playboy bunnies...

The concert you are recalling was at a place called "The Shaboo" in Mansfield,CT (which some years later burned down.)
There was one woman dressed as a playboy bunny who got on stage with Arlo while he did the song. It certainly was a memorable experience for everyone who was there. Especially since even the folks who drove down there with her didn't know she was going to do it.

OMG!! I did not know Arlo performed there several years ago I must have been in middle school at the time. The Shaboo was 10 miles from where I liveand right next to the East Brook Mall. The club got burned down in 1982 by an E.O. Smith High School student (I was a sophmore at Smith at the time) how very tragic! I will never forget the black water tower with SHABOO written in big red letters. Now there are professional offices in the same lot where the club was, I drive by there periodically for ol' times sake.

Jim, so right you are. I called a friend of mine that I went with, and he reminded me of the name. Along with more details of the evening that I don't remember, like waking up on a beach somewhere near Greenwich wondering where the hell we were.....God I miss the good ole days.
