Oh, wow! I always knew there was a good reason why I wanted to be a tall, leggy, blond. Oh, well. But I'm a photographer and have done a lot of portraits myself. Can I be a judge, too? Nice work you create for yourself, Arlo!

The story of Reuben Clamzo contains scenes that are of a mature nature. No wonder so many are interested in being on some kind of panel. I certainly wouldn't be sending sensitive pictures of me knowing that a host of Blundertypes would be inspecting, rejecting etc., my photos!

Will some of you who actually read the story as it appeared in the RBR please explain it to those who recently arrived to Blunderville? I don't really expect too many entries from our group. [I'm dying to see someone try to explain it] But, knowing how weird we are, Echo and I decided on giving it a shot - keeping it in the family, as it were. And we'd thought it'd be fun and something to do during these cold winter days. Who knows? There may be someone out there for whom this will be the beginning of an adventure as good or better than the original tale.

So unfortunately, for all you well intentioned volunteers out there, there cannot be a panel of judges for this project. So sad. But understand that this is real, and eventually you'll get to see the final artwork when the book becomes available.

sorry about that arlo...it was my way of expressing an enthusiasm for the project in general...not like i was really serious about being on an actual panel of inspectors (the word "inspectors" just made me laugh). i understand your thinking and why you wanted to speak up. sorry for the misunderstandings and silliness...

Agnes et al - my note wasn't meant to squish joy in Blunderville - Just so that anyone seriously considering the prospect wouldn't be thinking that there MIGHT be a panel in the future. All entries will be strictly confidential. :)

Those pics are very nice, ladies Thanks for sharing.....I really wish there was a contest for the inner beauty of a person not what is not the outside....I did not mean to crack that joke about myself the other day(on the verge of tears)....I have a fear of rejection, seriously...I am self conscious about my appearance especially my face..I am not interested in entering, sounds like fun and I want to know more about the story of Reuben Clamzo.....

BTW, no one mentioned beauty - inner outter or in between. The only qualifications were female (that's important), athetic, who appeared to be between the ages of 18 and 26 and who resembled Leslie-Ann van der Klam (the leading female character in the tale). But as no one can remember what she looked like that may not be as important as the other qualifications.

I am not entering either! For all kinds of reasons. :)

i couldn't say a single word of what i might remember about leslie-ann earlier cuz i had to run off some place right then...
but anyway all i recall about her off the top of my head is that she seemed to be a misunderstood young woman winding up in one precarious situation after another, was sometimes naked for no apparent reason or any explanation as to how she got that way...reuben clamzo may have been a comfort to her at times, but at the same time seemed a source of irritation...she could be irritated and testy, but was sometimes swept off her feet.
that could be all wrong, but it's the way i remember it...i also remember the green women...i may be getting characters mixed up...i'll have to read up to know any better...

hmmm...i may not have helped much in describing what she looks like, though....
