So I'm half watching the Giants get creamed by North Carolina (or was it South Carolina) and on come an ad for a car with "Car, Car" being sung (but not by Woody). Turns out is is an ad for some model of Nissan. If ever a song fit a car ad, this is it. Nice to hear some Woody Guthrie out there in TV land.

I've seen that ad a bunch of various times. I think Ramblin Jack is doing the singing in it...

It didn't sound like Ramblin' Jack to me, but it would be nice if it is. It'd be nice to see him get some $ out of it too. It is a great song to sell a car with.

I had read some discussions where folks thought it was Ramblin Jack singing it. Whoever's doing it is doing a nice job of it. Wish we could find out exactly who is doing it...

Ramblin' Jack? He's singing the commercial? Well, good for him. Who better? Folk music takes another turn, and I tell you, when I saw the ad, I made everyone quiet down so I could hear it. Unfortunately for Nissan, it probably won't make me run out and buy their car, but it sure is nice to hear a bit of "Car Car" in the midst of other flotsam and jetsum on the TV. Thanks, ADG, for giving us the authoritative word.

hmmm half makes me wish I watched more tv........ I'm glad to see these type of things go through...... and if it weren't for monetary issue's I probably would run out and buy the car cause my '97 nissan was a great car..... idiot proof, and sturdy well till it met an untimely end with all four in the air and me on the passenger roof in a ditch......... but still a good car
