I noticed that Arlo is not scheduled to play at the Church on the evening of the HD Walk. :( Ah ... c'mon Arlo!!! Please? Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong ... isn't the walk May 21?? My daughter and I had SUCH a great time last year scooping out ice cream!!! We plan to come again for another wonderful time!! I hope it doesn't rain this year!! I miss being at the Church ... haven't been there since the Fall Revival. Anyone else planning on going??

Hi Terrie - I didn't see it posted anywhere. I have the stuff from last year when Lisa handed out info for this year. :D I thought I remembered the date being May 21 and then (as Kurt said), Larry mentioned the same date. Are you going??

Probably not. I'm genuinely hoping to be accepted into UNM for their grad program... I need to save my money for moving out there and finding a place to live. If that changes ( ) I'll consider coming up.

The HD walk will be one of the last things I get to do here before I move to Colorado... I don't see a listing for the date, but May 21 sounds right to me, too. It's usually the week after Mother's day. I'm sure we'll be hearing something more specific soon.

The walk goes from the Church through Housatonic, to the infamous "closed on thanksgiving" dump, then to the Police officer station, and ends at Theresa's Stockbridge Cafe, which occupies the former "Alice's Restaurant". It's 6.3 miles of beautiful scenery. It's lots of fun, and there are rest/water stops along the way, featuring blunderites offering drinks and snacks. If you decide at any point that you don't want to walk anymore, there is a group of VW Microbuses that will pick you up and bring you to the end of the line. They'll also ferry you back to the Church afterward, so you don't have to walk both ways!

They handed out bumper stickers at last year's walk with the date May 21, 2006 listed as the date for this year's walk. I'm planning to be there! Be sure to bring your best walking shoes! We can all walk along, singing "I'm a walkin' down the line.....", or "Walking's the only thing I know that we do well together......", or whatever.

WOW!! Mega-awesome! Thanks for more of the groovilicious info Wyld :)....
Are there are any beauty stops on the same walk way just in case our makeup smudges and our hair gets mussed up? Or open showers when a huge stink bomb creeps up on you? Or a McDonald's in the case of a Big Mac attack?.... OMG I am asking for too much aren't I?....off to my corner I go

Do stiletto heels count as your best walking shoes? Oh yeah this is a walk not a strut ......Sorry, I am on a roll today :)....Seriously I will find my best pair of walking shoes that are comfortable and even skip, hop or run if that is allowed...."Running Down the Road" is a perfect running song.

The Guthrie Center calendar says there's gonna be a Spring Revival that weekend, but doesn't mention the walk...

Woohoo!!! Awesome!

The calendar must have been updated today, because it wasn't there when I looked this afternoon!

You can be sure that the HD walk will be that weekend, too...

Ya'll have fun at the shows. Theres one on Mikes birthday 06-30-2006 at the church on the Arlonet concert schedule. The May ones are probably around the time we make our annual trip to Nags Head, NC. Wish we could go but we'll let you guys have our seats...
