Anytime! I was really happy I found that videoclip.

I was in Borders Books and Music yesterday, and it was the CD they were playing over the PA in the store. It was so good, I stuck around to hear the whole thing...it was great! It was released for sale today (Tuesday) so I'm planning on hunting up a copy. If you love Pete's kind of music, it's a winner.

Its OK, I like Bruces mellow stuff like Nebraska, Tom Joad, Devils and Dust, The RIsing, was never a big fan of his rock music.

He was on Good Morning America on Mon and Tue. They talk about him practicing before shows and how the practice lasts for hours because he wants to sound so good.....

THE ALBUM WAS RECORDED IN 2 DAYS!!! How good did he want it to sound?

I think he just found his new niche (sp?) and a new way to make money now that he cant rock out like he used to.

Pete Seeger wasnt even shown at all in both interviews.

Next year Bruce will be playing a sitar.

have to take exception with you. Full disclosure, I've been rocking to the Boss since '75, and he is a known perfectionist. But he also understands the beauty and emotion that comes from spontanaety and that's where this album came from. A bunch of folks jammin' with Springsteen, and he had to capture the moment, it's not something he could wait and refine, and probably worked best that way. And rest assured, the Boss doesn't even have to put out a new album to make money... he can still sell out the Continental Arena in NJ for night upon night, with the Garden right behind! The classic story is how he agonized with Clarence Clemons over the recording of the Born to Run album for hour upon hour, just for the sax solos. If you ever get to one of his shows, you see a well rehearsed performer who always gives his all (and more).
I recommend the recent Born To Run anniversary edition, which comes with some additional DVD, one of which is a concert from the period recorded in England. It still gives me a rush, and although he's older, he still puts out the same power and emotion.

ok, my rant is over... you can resume normal opinions.

I bought the CD today and it's a winner! I love the "live" feel of the recordings, and they all sound like they're having a blast. This one's not leaving my CD player for awhile!

....admitting i haven't listened to the CD.....and the I like Bruce Springsteen sometimes.....including some of his rock....i gotta say that after catching a short PBS beg version of "Seeger Sessions" .... i felt more clueless than usual....
.....it may have been filmed locally, as i thought i heard Boston mentioned....i was truly stunned by the back up musicians.....a full New Orleans style group.....with some fine music and great New Orleans style......but like Pete?....with his voice and his banjo??....and the occasional small group of friends..... not so Seeger-like....

....the songs were good, but sounded alot the same to me....just my opinion....Pay me down kind of stood out as different......really enjoyed that one....

Right on Arnie!!!! Goober Peas is a ...well....goober. I think the album, Seeger Sessions" is excellent! Ronda & I saw Bruce at Deer Creek Music Center, (Verison) this past summer. It was one of the funnest, (that a word?) concerts we saw all summer. He toured with the same band that recorded the CD.

Oh yea!! The CD also has A DVD of all the tunes as they were recording them!!...Very nice...
