Just heard on MSNBC that Rumsfeld couldn't stay the course and just waved the white flag. Except for Harold Ford losing in Tennessee (thanks to the race card) and the same old crap down here in the Sunshine State, gotta believe that it's a very happy time for the Democrats!

Hell I had people voting for me as I can't vote... I had to pay a few of them... Wait till the Presidential election... That one might cost me... Not being able to vote, really brings on the awareness, not allot of people vote at all..... as sad as that sounds. and not to toot any horns. but it's true..... Untill something bad like this happens.. ( bush playing suicide with Iraq ) If not for such dissaray in Govt. most of the people, woulda probley stayed home... If you want a good voter turn out, keep having Katastrophies... ( sp ck )

Hey, we're celebrating the results of your mid-term elections, and
especially the end of Rumsfeld, up here in Canada too. Canadians,
even though we currently have a Conservative government in power
in Ottawa -- the result of a thorugh rejection of a corrupt and morallly
bankrupt Liberal government, have historically favoured the Democrats
over the Republicans stateside. Now what are we going to do about
our war policies? Yep, we're in it up to our eyeballs in Afghanistan.
Canadians are in shock at the casualties we are sustaining in that
devastated nation. We're not used to having our soldiers killed. We
used to pride ourselves as "peacekeepers". But we have given that
honourable pursuit up in the name of war.

War...what is it good for? It's November 11th....Remembrance Day.
First time we have observed Remembrance while at war in many,
many years.

Wow, didn't know Kinky lost the race. He seems like a real hoot lol. Looks like I'm getting all my news thru here as I had no idea Rummy had left until I read it on here. For some reason his name reminds me of rum balls & makes me crave them. My late Aunt used to make the best rumballs. Anyway I saw a neat program on Kinky running for governor awhile back on Cmt. It was really interesting...

"Rummy and Dummy", sounds like a good name for a cartoon.

George W. Bush and a secret service agent are taking a stroll when they
come upon a little girl carrying a basket with a blanket over it.


Curious, Bush asks the girl, "What's in the basket?" She replies, "New
baby kittens," and she opens the basket to show him.


"How nice," says Bush. "What kind are they?"


The little girl says, "Republicans."


Bush smiles, pats the little girl on the head and continues on.


Three weeks later, Bush is taking another stroll, this time with Karl
Rove. They see the little girl again with the same basket. Bush says,
"Watch this, Karl, it's really cute."


They approach the little girl. He greets the little girl and says
"How are the kittens doing?" and she says, "Fine."


Then, smirking, he nudges Rove with his elbow and asks the little girl,
"And can you tell us what kind of kittens they are?"


She replies, "Democrats."


Abashed, Bush says, "But three weeks ago you said they were
Republicans!"


"I know," she says. "But now their eyes are open...."
