Some of you know, and some of you don't, but Kitty left her beloved coast of North Carolina for the Left Coast before Christmas, and is currently living with her daughter in Oregon. For some time before she left, she had noticed the growth of an "alien" in her abdomen, but the doctors in NC couldn't figure out what it was. The doctors in Oregon have apparently had more experience with aliens, and as it turns out, it is cancer. Soft tissue sarcoma, to be exact. They think it is pretty aggressive and advanced, and they have put Kitty on the "fast track". She is meeting with her surgeon on Tuesday.
