A very good friend of mine, who is a performer in the show, got us primo tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show Corteo while it was here. She said they were the "owner's seats"...just off the main aisle from the center of the stage and in the double-wide aisle between sections. One of the acts was a pair of "horses" (a la two acrobats in a horse costume) performing tricks in the center stage. Then they came off the stage and up the aisle kissing and nuzzling audience members as they went. The one horse came up to the wide aisle and all of a sudden turned around and the back half sat in my lap....and just sat there... I had my hands folded in my lap at the time... and I just wasn't sure if I needed to behave myself! Had to think about it. Turned out the back half was a cute Russian brunette in pigtails. So...Larnie... watch out...if you sit in my lap I might not be so restrained next time.

I am having sdo much fun visualizing this, that I might have to attend this show if I can score primo seats like you did! With my luck, I'll get the Larnie back end instead of the pigtailed Russian chick.

no, actually I was accused of being a russian brunette in pigtails!!! I'm not sure which is worse...

I'm a dirty blonde (emphasis on the dirty) who has been officially advised by my wife that there ain't no more blonde in the grey up there... and as for russian, well, that's part true, I've been russian all over the place for years, but pigtails??? a nice jewish boy like me???? (I was always a ponytail sorta guy myself!)

Anyway, a nice Jewish boy like you would wear payos, not pigtails or a pony tail.

Vance Gilbert tells a story of allowing a young hairdresser to put two braids on each side of his face, in his otherwise dread locked hair. Almost no one in the audience go the joke when he called them his "Designer Payos". The young hair dresser thought it looked just great.

But Vance went on to suggest - as a member of the Util-a-tarian Church, (He feels we all get there after 40) that if you put those rubber things on the ends of the braids, he'd never misplace his glasses again.
