No but really, Woody's "Grow Big Songs" and Terry Ala Berry's, "Surfing With Dinosaurs" gets alot more play than Ornette. Sorry, Ornette, but we keep him on the shelf for "special occasions."

Funny, in Chick Corea's Circulus (60's atonal free jazz) just about when you can't stand it anymore even under "special circumstances" they begin to grunt....."we exist,...physical universe". In his own parallel bar Chick now plays homage to L. Ron but the piano playing is tonal and beautiful. I guess he would grunt "we don't exist except thru scientology".

well Gerry, if my daughter meets your son at Pitt she is more likely to want to listen to Hoo Doo Voo Doo or the White Strips or God knows what than Ornette anyway...but that most recent Ornette live is really good if you have a taste for free jazz (Sound Grammer is its name)
