Zap, that's what I was getting at, but cos I didn't have possession of the one brain cell, I couldn't explain it nearly as well as you just did! Can I vote "no" again?

If the braincell goes to the White House, it won't be used--they wouldn't know what to do with it. It will immediately be classified SuperTopSecret, carted off to the Great Big Warehouse, and left to moulder next to the Ark of the Covenant. We'll never get it back unless we stage a rescue operation with the Blundercopter. I vote no, even though the rescue operation might be a lot of fun.

Yes 1 (Larry)
No 4 (Terrie, Kevin, Zap, Shelley)
??? 1 (Kurt)

Who is to say the brain cell couldn't someday grow to be a person? Whoever has it needs to carry it to full term, and it would be much too difficult and dangerous to be going around lending it out. I vote NO!

Remember, it's not a choice, it's a life!

This profoundly intense single brain cell could only have originated at Alice's Restaurant. Dubya will send secret service envoy's to Stockbridge to look for more. We can't do that to those good folks. But I already voted no anyways. Can I vote twice if I register Republican temporarily and write from New Hampshire ?

I count:

5 no
1 yes
1 implied no by Agnes

Warm up the copter......I think the NSC's Raptor program is hitting on my PC and headed to take the cell by force. Cheney lent his last one to Wolfowitz and the world bank put it in escrow until his girlfriend breaks up with him. Dick's deperate, he's on to us. I'm locking myself in the basement and activating the MCRR defense system. The cell must not go to the dark side.

If we let him have the brain cell, maybe he'll do something right for a change?

... or maybe he'll hide the cell away in a little cage in Guantanamo, or some secret CIA prison...

... no ... better not take the chance.

ohmygod you've got to be kidding-- I wouldn't trust him with my granddog's flea's brain cells- never mind the one & only blunderite cell! He'd never give it back- he'd give it to Haliburton & then we'd have to pay millions to get it back!
A resounding NO! & all the fleas voted no, too!

Ok...Ok! What if we lend him the brian cell, but equip it with "Lo-Jack" so we can find it if they hide it, and perhaps load it with a computer virus of some sort that might help make him think on his own like a smart and decent person?
