This is a great view... of Arlo , performing THE " Motorcycle Song"... place unknown. It appears to be possibly early 1970's. If you know where it was, pls post it. I'm suspecting it may have been Central Park.

Either way, it's great to watch. I'm 57 yrs old, and I sing this song every time I go out and ride my motorcycle.... and it leaves me smiling.

"Arlo put together a benefit festival in the fall of 1975 for The Worthington Clinic. He invited friends to join him and it was a great time! Steve Goodman was there, Arlo's band Shenandoah backed him up for the first time. Someone asked for "The Motorcycle Song" Here it is!"

I love the one spliced in with footage from the movie. It's a real hoot.

I kept checking out the background when it shows the city, etc... and it sure looked like Central Park. But, could be another park in a city.

I would have loved to have been there. On Friday nights at a local spot, a guy plays there ... and he does a great Arlo immitation and does the motorcycle song. I have never found anyone who doesn't know that song and love it. For whatever reason he came up with it, it sure stuck well with people.... and keeps them smiling.

I notice most of his dates are back East.... we're going to have to see if we can't get him back out here in middle America at some point.

I did a quick google search, and the only Worthington Clinic that came up was in Worthington, Minnesota. Maybe that's where it was.
