I get a couple of Word of the Day's at work; part of the job. Here's one that came today that may apply for the next 594 or so days:

Kakistocracy: Rule by the least-able or least-principled of citizens, is a form of government in which the people least qualified to control the government are the people who control the government. The origin of this word is Greek, derived from the superlative of the Greek adjective kakos (bad), the superlative form being kakistos (worst).

I dream of the day I wear my Malboro Cowboro hat as Bush walks into Forty's Club where I love to play pool. I say to Bush, with my hat on, "I'm the real space cowboy. Steve Miller only wrote the song. And I would have deep dark sun glasses on.
That dream will take a lot of other people. But who would believe any of my other posts?

Pretzels! It almost worked once before! Actually, after that incident I'm surprised that all of the country's pretzels weren't rounded up and sent to Gitmo. Wonder if it's a crime to wave a pretzel at Bush? Well, lemme tell ya, folks! They can have my pretzel when they pry it from my cold, dead hands! If pretzels are outlawed, only outlaws will have pretzels! It is the unalienie......uh, unanalianibbble ....ummm ...er... we've got the right to bear pretzels! Wait! That's beer & pretzels!
