Ask someone in the third world who works for 25 cents a day to make stuff that sells here for $19.99 at Walmart what capitalist facism is all about.

It's the golden rule. He who has the gold rules. Everyone else works for a living. My mother cried when Nixon removed wage and price control in his first administration. Now I know why. Why under the guise of "free enterprise" is it acceptable for Mobil oil to make 1,000,000.00 every ten seconds ? Because supply and demand says so ? Why are we in bed with the Chinese who sell us stuff that costs them pennies made by political prisoners in forced labor situations ? The capitalist giant and the communist giant and in a symbiotic dance to put profits in the pockets of each. The politicians on each side exist to maintain the status quo. I wouldn't call it free enterprise anymore, I would just call it by what it is,....greed. Is this nihilistic, perhaps....... but reality also.....everyone needs to sing "Alice's Restaurant" alot louder !!

I know...those kinds are made in china too (or malaysia/indonesia...they have a great human rights record). I own one that plays only 500 songs and it's loaded with arlo from itunes. I like to crank the Multi Colored Rainbow Roach Affair while driving though town with my brand new Arlo Guthrie bumper sticker on the back of the Jeep. Come to think of it I suppose my Jeep is the only thing I own made in the USA, except for my grandmother's rolling pin and a few tools grandpa made at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, some old furniture, etc...I bought my wife a bedroom set for her 40th a few years back...got the pine one, but it is made in Virginia rather than the Cherry one made in Malaysia on principle. Somehow it made a difference to give my 1500.00 to a guy in Virginia rather than give 1450.00 to a middle man and 50.00 to the guy in Malaysia. But those juke boxes and many other things you can't buy made here.....globalization of capitalism. I guess my point is we are already a capitlaist fascist state. I mean we have great many more freedoms than other places in the world (I can move anywhere I want, change my name be whoever etc....that's how the terrorists penetrated us,,...using our own freedoms...you can't do that in Saudi Arabia, etc) but when it comes to money the top 1-10% call the shots and Joe Union has very little say, even organized (my union can't accomplish diddly though I still support their efforts....I'm still better off than if they weren't in my corner). So the "patriot actors" whittle away at what's left (of Freedom), ...even my senator Ted (I'll drive off that bridge when I get to it) supports a National ID card...which makes my skin crawl just out of principle. As Ben Franklin said "those who give up liberty for security end up with neither" so I guess these days I would support a melding of Vermont and New Hampshire..........The Libertatian Socialist Party.

I see a future of this Land putting those Electricity cells on our roofs, to plug our electric cars into. We are all ready exporting those roof cells to Japan and Europe. It takes 8-10 months to get them. But Detroit and DC are why behind the times. Wouldn't those 2 tech stuff give this Land a purpose? Let the terrorist have the middle east oil. We won't be there or need them for a 3,4 or 5 fold solution.

Amen Leo........if big money would rally behind an effort like solar electricity or hydrogen fuel cells and see the big picture rather than immediate profits our Land would return to a place it was. So we export the newest technology because the seven sisters of oil are amerikan based companies, symbiotic to the supply (middle east) who we abuse through policy (which fuels Jihad sentiment) and even make war on to protect the supply in the national interest (which pours gas on the fire). With "w" and Dick being oil men why are would anyone be surprised that we are where we are. It seems that the "national interest" justifies us to do almost anything abroad. I foresee history recording these times as being the most imperialist in US history.
