This morning the Senate passed a resolution condemning attacks on General Petraeus....particularly citing Move-on which put out a video re the General's recent Congressional testimony...and said "Petraeus -
Betray us"...

...apparently you can't stop illegal invasions, torture, extraordinary rendition, the loss of Habeus Corpus amongst many other civil rights losses, illegal wiretapping, the political firing of government attorneys, the outing of CIA agents for political purposes....enough??...there's more... but you can..
yes..
get the Senate to pass the above resolution with only 25 Senators voting Nay... to remind us not to speak carefully with our free speech rights...is this an attempt at intimidation?!... good, then...we are being heard...

want to know how everyone voted?...
check on Obama...and the other political candidates... personally i say keep an eye on Dodd....he's got something going...(personal opinion)...

In some measure, I need to give the military a pass. The trouble is the knucklehead that sent them there. And Bush projecting this thing onto Petraeus and making him part of the political process is wrong.A general should never become a "yes" man. The military, even the highest ranking general, is subservient to the commander in chief. If we wish to best support the military, we best not elect another moron as commader in chief.
