Couldn't make my mind up where to put this as it's not realy Folk but I thought some fo you may like to be aware of the fact that Arthur Lee is ill with Leukaemia.

I bought a copy of MOJO yesterday, for the first time in enons, and ther is a snippet in there:-

AFTER bone marrow trasplant in a Memphis hospital in May, Love leader Aurther Lee's fight against Leukeamia goes on. Before he fell ill, he'd taken part in Love Story , a film made by UK Love fans Chris Hal and Mike Kerry. Other interviewees include Love band mate Johnny Echos, Elektra Records Founder Jac Holzman... and London Mayor Ken Livingstone.
"The focus of the film is the first three LPs" says Hall of the film, due out in Autumn. " We did a 50-50 deal with Arthur, so if we make any money, he'll see it." A UK fundraising show for the singer is also tentively set for late August.

I found it a bit of a shock as it was I supose Arthur Lee that got me and Alan together, and when he was playing in Manchester a few years back that was our first date. I hope he pulls through ok, and I'll be looking out for the film.

Man, I genuinly feel gutted. Remembering him bouncing round the stage at the forever changes gog a few years ago, you 'd have though he'd just keep on going.

R.I.P in Orange skies, Thoughts and Vibes to his family.

Thanks for the post on Arthur Lee.
Here's a love call to Arthur and all of those, passed and still here, who made the 60's really special.

I was just searching the site for Arthur Lee Land to see if Arlo or anyone else had posted anything about this new (to me) musician and ran across this post instead.

Arthur Lee was one of my absolute favorites. In fact, it was because of an article another fan sent me right after Arthur's death that caused me to create this the user ID I am using on the Rising Sun Record site as in the article, it talked about "Love Street" and "where it all began, out in CA. :)

RIP, Arthur.
