So I hear on the news the other day they found the oldest living creature on Earth, a 450 year old clam. 450 rings on the thing's shell. But I didn't catch how big the thing was, did anyone hear ? or if it had those little feet to walk on land.

In that article it is clearly stated, "Sadly, since being discovered by science, Ming has popped its clogs." They obfuscate by implying that means the clam is dead, but WE know the truth--he stuck his little feet out.

Well, walking through the sand is much more fun without clogs on your feet.

At 405 years old, that clam is old enough to have been not only a threat to the coastal villages of early America, but even to the Mayflower passengers that started to BUILD the coastal villages of America. It's a wonder that they got here at all!
