C'mon Skai... what's the real story? You had to have made that up. It'd be a great one for the storyboard. We could have Arlo rush in to save the day (oh, wait, that's Mighty Mouse... or Andy Kaufman???). Oh well....

I think it's time for Iowa to join the 21st century. Sounds like a very strange way to elect a president... or any office for that matter.

Thanks for sharing! It did make for great reading.

Having read through this discusion thread and agreeing with most everything said I only have one thing to add being from New Hampshire. I am so glad it is freakin over. I have had it with the repeated phone calls the endless line of knocks on my door and all the B.S. about Hillary and Obama. Needless to say I was tempted to vote for the candidate that harassed me the least but that just would not be the honest way to vote. I had considered voting for Obama but the only reasons i could come up with for doing so was that he is Intelligent and has decent grammer. Although good qualities, not exactly what I would consider reasons enough to vote for him. So it was down to the other three having swore off voting for republicans. Not one to give out my vote all I will say is that I voted for experience and hope for the best. Obama will get it anyway but who know's. I just hope that folks out there aren't just riding the Obama hype and are truely studying this guy before they vote. Brace yourself the elections are heading your way. Enjoy...

Seems like Hils, by just being female, is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't........ my BlunderSisters know what I'm talkin' about.!!!!

Let's have some fun and do a gender reversal.............

Comments overheard about the three Democratis hopefuls.
(All characters are ficticious and have no connection with any person living or dead)

J. becomes Jane.

" Oh! Her poor husband.....I mean, he might SAY 'No don't let the fact that I have have a life threatening illness stop you from running dear' , but can't she SEE that he really wants her home with him!!! She has no right being out there campaining! She should be home caring for her husband. HE needs her and who knows how much time he has left! I certainly won't be voting for her! And she's just TOO 'Girl next door, all that smiling, saying the RIGHT things, wearing the right clothes, she's just not tough enough for the job!!

B. becomes Beatrice.

"Oh that uppity girl! What makes her think she can even consider running for Prez.!!! She hasn't got a chance!!! And fancy dragging her poor little daughter around the campain trail, let alone her husband!!! Poor man...it's just so demeaning for him!! I'm sure he has a career of his own that he should be taking care of! Poor man, having to walk behind with the First Ladies of all those countries they will be visiting, it's just not right!! I certainly won't vote for her!!"

H. becomes Hal.

"Oh that Hal !!! Even with that tough, he's got balls, attitude and that severe haircut and way of dressing plus that scary look that comes over his face, he is just SOOO attractive! A REAL MAN! But,I mean, he has feelings too, even a glint of a feminine side. I mean, didn't he write a book about how it takes alot of people to raise a child??? And while his wife, Jill, was Prez he actually gave up his partnership in a big law firm to be First Man when she was Gov. then Prez.! I mean he had a complete makeover just so he would appeal more to the voters!!! What a man!!!! She even ran around on him for years....but he stuck by her!! Now most would call a man crazy for that!! I mean if not for him she NEVER would have been Prez! Now Jill can just get back where she belongs, supporting him! He'll get my vote!!

I got so excited about Louise's gender bender story I forgot to tell you about this thou

What if it was Hillary who really had the desire to lead all along and had she been the male partner, it would have been she who ran originally instead of Bill? Much comes through in her books about their joint vision, their dreams.., maybe it was her dream?

Then I see Ms. Obama, ESQ., Princeton, Harvard Law, and think is this history repeating itself?

Looks like Hils has done it in NH. But it's not over til the skinny man sings and of course there is still Super Tuesday.

Yep I believe it has always been Hils' dream,,,,,,,,,,, and I believe she deserves a Fair Go as we say here in Oz. She's got the experience. Obama could wait in the wings til he's had a little more of that.
She's waited about 20 years! Or more like 39 years if you go back to 1969 when she gave the first ever STUDENT Commencment speech when she graduated from Wellesley. She sure pissed off Administrators and parents but recieved a 7 min ovation from her classmates, who were probably the first graduating class to realize that they didn't spend all those years at College just so they would have the credentials to snag a Doctor or Lawyer for Holy Matrimony into the RIGHT family!

But having said that I won't be cheering for her just because she's a woman, but because I think she, at this particular time in the history of my native land, can get the job done. And hopefully we have come far enough that if she does win there will never again be comments in the media about her dress sense and hairdo's. And no nicknames like The Perfumed Steamroller or any other such nonesense.

I particularly liked her comment on how it's time for an end to Cowboy Politics. ( I mean even Larry would have to love that one)

Hill surly would not be the worst of all evils.

Being from Massatack, I "think" Romney would be. The health-care plan he came up with just puts a more cash burden on the Men and Women working for 8 or 10 bucks or so.

Are there any creative ideas in blunderville to fix health-care? (And I didn't say help fix it, but fix it!)

I think Insurance Companies like Health Care just the way it is and with bullshit worth more than the dollar we can't upset the insurance companies, after all they are the ones gambling on our health and imputing on the value of the dollar (or is that the banks? or are they different? economics is confusing as hell)!

(I never can tell if he is serious when he writes that crap?)

I still think Hillary's greatest obstacle (fault...whatever) is her attempts at creating an electable image. I mean, a woman running for President, imagine the hurdles and you can count any self respecting "real christian's, (muslim or judean as well)" vote out because we all know what mysogynist bastard's they are! No wonder she voted for war....she can't have the image of sparing the rod and besides, she figured GW couldn't be so stupid that he would get us bogged down in a Civil War (OK well that statement doesn't support her cause much, but hey, nobody is perfect! (except maybe Leo or maybe Larry or maybe Ceashel ....but certainly not me because I am one flawed Son of a B.....#@&&*** (no offense mom, it is just a figure of speach or was he saying bastard and is that assumption mysogynistic...argh, it's all to complicated anymore?)

I recieved an inquiry..wow, cool...
and the question is?

What does this mean: "I think she needs to reject all that phony conformist crap and redefine herself in a “woman of the people” kinda of way. " ???

I think it means that instead of being a woman trying to look like a man she needs to redefine the acceptable look of the all important "President" in such a way that she doesn't appear processed or phony in that role. She looks like a woman trying to look like a man to look "Presidential."

I know a lot of people here don't like her but I do think having some experience in Washington is better than little or no experience and I think she actually wants to accomplish something instead of filling a "Presidential" space just to say she did it and hoping it does rain during your reign kind of approach (not questioning the sincerity of the others, but the only other candidate that it appears to me who genuinely wants to accomplish something is a Baptist preacher and he scares the s&#t out of me)! On the look issue, Obama wins the "Presidential" look category hands down...hell even John Kennedy would lose to him in that category and he was the best there has ever been on the Democratic side of the category (of course nobody could beat Ronnie the Raygun in that category). Bill is close until he picks up a cigar but I think he is definitely the funniest President (I said before and I'll say it again, Bill should get a late night talk show, crack some jokes with Sean Penn and play a little sax...Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, it is once again time for (drum roll)Cocktails with Bill! (jazz band sounds) Ba dump bump ba da (and Bill appears from behind the curtain playing the sax) doodle doodle dit doo!
