Cliffite, remember to say clitoris along with vagina, penis and nipples. Then you might not get into so much trouble.

Well yeh, me too! And that's exactly what I'm talkin' about! What's the big deal?

A couple of years ago when I was in my bosses office, and her givin' me my yearly evaluation, and she pretty much gave me exceeds expectations on just about every thing. But she said there was only one problem. She leaned in closed like and said, "Primula, I just never know what you're going to say!", right in my face!

It may be hard to tell, but I've been working on that problem ever since.

Now this year she told me she thinks I sometimes come too close to crossing the line between Health Care Provider and Patient into me being friends with my patients. She felt that was unperfessional of me.

So now I'm working on not getting caught at that. And since all's I ever do is go the work and come home, you all here at Arlonet are the only friends I have! She's a real nice person and the best boss a girl could have, but when I sent her Arlo's Bunnywunny video she was not amused. Sometimes stuff like that gives me a complex. Like I'm not normal or somethin'. I asked my husband about it tonight after I showed him PS's video and he said I was not normal too.

Thank God for Arlonet, my Arlo friends and Arlo! I'm not kidding niether! I mean it.

Till I met you all I thought maybe there really was something wrong with me. And while I haven't completely ruled out that there probably is something wrong with me. Now I'm starting to think that it may not be so much that I don't fit in with most people because I'm weird, it might be because I don't enjoy a lot of "normal" people and maybe I unknowingly sabatage my relationships.

Several women in my department get together every day at lunch and make a big salad, and they all bring something yummy to add to it. My lunch isn't until after theirs but they invited me to eat with them so I did.

I was board as hell. I knew I had absolutely nothing to add to the conversation on nifty devises one can use to take the air out of your wine bottle to keep it fresh. (I also noted they get to drink way more wine than I do)

I realized that if I had brought up what I really wanted to talk about, which was how saddened I was about the people on youtube who think the only reason we wanted to help the people in Burma was so that we could insinuate our military into their country and take it over, and how we could change our country to repair our bad reputation with some folks. (queen of the run on sentences)

Ya ever heard of what the kids call a boner breaker? That would have been me.

So I left them to talk about the best wine they had the other night and how it would be perfect with tiramasu, and went back to my cave to contemplate world peace or the lack there of.

Wow! Thanks for the therapy session. I feel better now.

Love and Peace,
Primula Brandybuck

I have a whole list of stuff I'd like to discuss with people.

On a good day they say WOW I never thought about that before, or in that way. Thanks for sharing.

On a bad day they kind of roll their eyes shake their heads and kind of look at me funny.

Whatever. Takes all kinds to make this world. Sometimes....like if I was at the lunch you were talkin about, I'd go for it but other times you can usually tell that it's not worth it or you know that certain people just aren't interested in certain stuff.

Like there are people I know who don't bother trying to even bring up certain stuff with me.

And there are things I'd like to ask people about but without offending them, I just don't understand sometimes and am interested in their view. their veiw.

Alright. I must stop this madness and take shower and quite playing with you all.

I have already taken my Ambein and I need to hurry up before it totally takes over and I end up falling in the shower and meeting an untimely demise just like that other Primula chick did.

Baliff! Wack his pee pee is totally the bomb! I put it in my favorites!

Thanks to a friend of mine, I realize that I don't say a whole lot. Maybe I'm just thinking it all and not saying it! Just want to say I'm right with you there Primula. I don't fit in most places either, but feel very comfortable here.

On breaks at work I listen to ENDLESS discussions of the previous night's 'reality' shows--people eating bugs and other nasty things--and some strange shows about competing clothes designers and tatoo artists and chefs (separate shows). When I can get a word in, I tell them about the coming critical vote in the Senate, or the case the Supremes just decided, or remind them that there's a WAR going on ... so what is normal?

The funny thing is, this little group at work has become a group of friends. Not friends like Blunderites are, but 'work friends.' They do roll their eyes at me fairly frequently, but I roll my eyes at them just as often. And sometimes I even get through to them about truth, justice, and the celery way. But it takes a toll, and I'm grateful to have this place for rejuvenation. (Being an adult for too long is bad for you.)

I have neighbor ladies like that...when in a group of them, I don't fit in...and they don't know what to do with me, either. They are happy talking about shopping at Nordstroms, their new carpet and granite countertops, their latest vacations...but real issues like the latest floods, the elections, the war...it's like they don't exist, or they're living in a bubble where none of that nasty REALITY can creep in and taint their existance. I remember one woman droning on and on and on about her kid's perfect private school...and ripping up the local public high school and the kids who go there, when she'd never even set foot in it to check it out and see if it was as terrible as she was describing... I reminded her that those were MY kids and my kid's friends she was ripping in to and that it was actually a great school. She didn't get it...I guess she just assumed everyone's kids went to private school.
