I'm not even sure what to say. My mom has been suffering with fibrilation (sorry don't know how to spell it) for months. She finally went to the doc and he sent her by ambulance to the hospital (she of course tried to convince him to let her drive herself). The hospital let her go too soon and her heart is still beating way too fast, 120 beats a minute. So they've added another drug that's supposed to calm it down. I just don't know how much longer she has. Please send vibes for her.

Cheryl, your mom sounds just like me when I had a heart attack almost 4 years ago... I was insisting on driving myself to the ER!

My son-in-law had atrial fibrillation problems for many years. His heart would go haywire, and when he went to the ER, the first thing they'd ask him was "what drugs were you doing"... (he wasn't).

He had an ablation procedure done about two years ago - where they laser the wonky synapse in the heart that caused the problem, and he's doing fine since then.

So if they start talking about this type of procedure, it may be worth considering.

Yeah, I'm the bad daughter and she sighs sometimes when I talk to her about that stuff. She's very stubborn and really doesn't like going to the doc. She's promised to talk to her regular doc to see if there's another cardiologist she can see. She actually knows a very good cardiologist, but she doesn't want to bother him...

thank you all for the vibes for her. what's going on with her hit me hard on Saturday, the way she's talking about tying up loose ends and hoping to have another year. Well, I just sorta freaked out a little.
